3 Ninjas Audience Reviews

Jeanskynebu the audience applauded
SpuffyWeb Sadly Over-hyped
Dynamixor The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
StyleSk8r At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
gavin6942 Each year, three brothers, Samuel, Jeffrey and Michael Douglas visit their grandfather, Mori Tanaka, for the summer. Mori is highly skilled in ninjutsu, and for years he has trained the boys in his techniques. After an organized crime ring proves to be too much for the F.B.I., it's time for the three ninja brothers! Apparently, people don't care for this movie. The IMDb rating is rather low. I loved it as a kid (I recall seeing it in the theater), and figured I would give it another chance at age 35. I fully expected it to disappoint, but it was actually as good or better than I remembered.Sure, some of it is "dumb", but I think that happens to be the point. This is a kids movie or a movie for those who are not completely dead inside. The three surfers (stoners?) are incredible, and really capture the era of Keanu Reeves and/or "Wayne's World".
snuggleflamesmidnightwit Growing up as I am 17 now I loved the first three of the 3 Ninjas movie, and what kills me every time I watch them is the fact that they changed actors.I would be psyched to see a remake of the three ninjas series even though I love the originals. It's just not the same when they changed the actors, and most movies aren't when they do the switching but the first three were great.I disliked the fourth. I grew up watching the movies but being 17 now in watching them they just depress me because of the way they released the movies, and how they changed the actors.I know that nobody's perfect but,it would be great for them to remake the movies that would keep the same actors, and than maybe the others wouldn't have gotten negative reviews.I will always love the first 3 Ninjas movie but, honestly why not remake them into what could maybe be even more better than the first but,I'm just being honest.
Lynne Bates WARNING! THE FOLLOWING REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS! The best dang' film ever, dudes! I first saw this, like, most excellent movie ever, when I was like, gnarly 8, man! Seriously, dudes, if ya haven't ever seen 3 ninjas, like, see it, man! excellent! Firstly, there are 3 way rad ninja bros, dude! They have these, like, way bogus names, dude! Somethin' like Rocky, Tum-Tum and colt! They do these way rad things, like overthrow these shuck - evil dudes in a poorly executed cash-in on Home Alone, and get kidnapped on this, like, way big ship thing, man, and break-out, and take-on, like, 100 evil ninja dudes! Gnarly, man! how, like, bogus is that, man!? These kids, are, like, way 10, and 11, and crap, and they do what Mcauley Culkin couldn't do, like, not even in The gnarly Good Son, man, that movie where he tried to kill Elijah Wood, man! If ya liked stuff like Home Alone, or Teenage Ninja Turtles, like, even Bruce Lee stuff, you're' gonna' way love 3 Ninjas, man! It is pretty cheap on Ebuy, and stuff, man, so, like go off of IMDb now man, and go on Ebuy, and, like, get yourself a gnarly copy, man! If ya can't do that, some cool guy has it up-loaded on YOU TUBE, man! So go see it now, man! Now!
Lee Eisenberg Five years ago today, Victor Wong left this life. It's probably a little shocking, to say the least, that he passed away the day after those planes crashed into the World Trade Center buildings and brought them crashing down (although the circumstances of the buildings' collapse are still somewhat sketchy). But anyway, the anniversary of his passing brings to mind his entire career, including "3 Ninjas". This is mostly just one of those movies that they cranked out in the '80s and early '90s about a bunch of cool kids clobbering dumb adults. Nothing really creative. It seems funny the first time that you see it, but not afterwards. The youngest brother even has the same name as the actor who won an Oscar for playing Gordon Gekko in "Wall Street"! So, most people will probably compare this movie to "Home Alone", but I don't care too much for that movie either. There are plenty of better movies that you can find. And Mr. Wong, wherever you are, we'll always remember you.Still, it was pretty funny how every other word that the surfers said was "Dude!".
