Amusement Audience Reviews

Karry Best movie of this year hands down!
Actuakers One of my all time favorites.
Pluskylang Great Film overall
Zandra The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
Stevieboy666 The first part of this film concerns a small convoy of fast moving vehicles which includes a crazy trucker. Then we're into a young female baby sitter being terrorized by a killer clown. Then the action moves, with new characters, to a creepy Gothic mansion. I began to wonder if this was an anthology movie but eventually the plot does start to makes sense. This is the film's downside, I think the script and continuity could have been better. However, despite some very bad reviews on here, it's not all negative. Camera work is good & there are some impressive sets. Set in America but filmed in Hungary most of the actors are North American so we don't get any bad, fake accents. A common problem when European actors are employed instead. Finally there is some impressive gore.
Samantha Gavrilko Some of the reviews on here state that this movie had a terrible/incomplete story line. I disagree. Although there are small details omitted (such as WHY the killer did what he did), I think there's just enough detail to let you figure it out yourself. The only thing I dislike about the plot is that the clown idea wasn't revisited (unless I just missed it...) after he did his "thang". Also, there wasn't a ton of character development, but I didn't hate them either so there's that. running total: -3I watched this at home because it happened to be on TV. In the past I have had recurring nightmares of coming home and feeling like there's a killer in my home and trying to get out of my home but can't get away from the killer (either because I'm on the top floor or he's got friends at every door of the house). This movie revisits that fear (not directly, but same idea), leaving me feeling very nervous to go to sleep in my apartment. And any movie that leaves me feeling that way is a movie that deserves at least 5 stars out of 10. running total: +2The remaining stars given were simply because I enjoyed the visual aspects of the movie. I liked all the 'contraptions' in the mansion and the different scenes/locations that the characters were in. It wasn't just a killer in a house. It may not have been the most unique storyline but it's pretty hard to do that as almost everything has been thought up and this movie definitely stole a few ideas from other movies. Not a deal-breaker for me, though.I would probably watch this movie again to try to fill in some blanks, but I still give it an overall 7 out of 10 for doing its job: scaring me.
Trent Browning I was wondering around in Civic Video just to find something interesting for the night to watch: I came across this film 'Amusement' so I hired it out for the night: watched it when I got home immediately. I have to say: what a huge mistake that was. It had its up's and down's during the film (E.G: The clown in the bedroom: that was well done) and the down sides were more of a 'amusement' as I can say. It needed to be plotted out a whole lot better, it's one of those films were you confused throughout it then it makes sense during the end. A huge negative during the ending was that the girl was locked in the back of the van (couldn't get out) and she ends up driving the broken down car at the final scenes: it doesn't make sense at all. I wish it stuck to one main idea throughout the film (I would say the clown one) since it was more appealing. Shelby, not rarely Lisa as well never got any screen time throughout the film, I didn't even remember she was in it to be honest. A forgettable film, wasn't planned out enough, went too fast and it was incredibly unrealistic, 3/10.
ilovetobeyoung This was one of the worst horrors I've watched, not because of bad acting or a low budget or anything else but because it was so utterly boring and had no depth. The whole thing was completely disjointed, there was no real explanation for the killer's tendencies and the scenes jumped all over the place. There was also no back story and you didn't get a chance to build up a connection to any of the main characters. There was very little gore in the movie and no actual frightening moments. As a horror film it has nothing going for it. It has one slightly shocking scene but the rest of the movie is dreary and just lame.It was incredible boring and disappointing. I'd rather watch a terrible B-grade any day.
