Another Cinderella Story Audience Reviews

Kattiera Nana I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
Exoticalot People are voting emotionally.
Console best movie i've ever seen.
Freeman This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.
Taylor Kingston Okay, so if you're watching this movie, or you're about to, then you have probably seen the first movie, 2004's A Cinderella Story starring Chad Michael Murray and Hilary Duff. This movie has the same premise as its predecessor. It's similar to the Final Destination and Bring It On franchises. Similar stories with occasionally same cast members, but always different and unique. It's not as good as the original, or first in the franchise, but it's still very good. This movie is about Mary. She is a talented dancer with big dreams. She has a horrible stepmother, who treats Mary like a slave. Mary is forbidden to go to the big dance, but she goes anyway. Good for her. She dances with dancing superstar, Joey Parker and like every Cinderella, she drops something on her way out of the ball, so her Prince Charming can later find her. She drops her Zoom, which is basically the less-popular and barely heard of, iPod. Joey needs to find who this girl is. In the end, they do and things really become magical.Overall, I give this movie an 8 out of 10.
annevejb I found the Hilary Duff Cinderella to be unusual in that I liked it. After Lizzie M. I felt a need to look to Hilary Duff's movies and it was the one of the few that I liked. This story took a bit more work to get to the point of really liking it. It felt as if it started weak and gradually became watchable. Now I rate it. The music and dance means that I will watch it way more than the H D story. The dance really dances, for me. I got this because of Selena. Princess Protection Program may be rated as only suitable for pre-teens, but I found it okay for second childhood if I ignored the morality tale aspect. PPP helped me to ignore the Waverly Movie and start to consider Selena as a very acceptable actress. * A thread at the Message Board believes that Selena's dancing is mostly done by an actress listed in the film's credits as a dancer, an unlisted stunt double. Look at the dancers in the advert sequence, the short dancer who looks a bit like Selena. Selena as new to dancing, though the DVD extras say that she did unusually well. There are all sorts of film tricks that will be used to help the story along, I wonder if the main unlisted ingredient is the unusually high quality of the editor. Getting the dance to feel like amazing dance. Used to be I looked to the actors as the reason and now I am wondering if it was the film editor who should get the credit for creating amazing dance and whoever okayed the end credits as the one who messed up bad, I accept that the end credits content is fairly typical. * Drew Seeley as a bonus extra. I knew that he was in HSM, dub type singing the leading man's songs because of the vocal range needed. Not in HSM 2 or 3. Here he is, on screen, singing and dancing and acting. He co-wrote the songs that he sings. The director was oh so pleased that this story has 100% original material for all of the song and dance. As background material for HSM I find this to be essential viewing. Chasing interviews re the dance subtracted from that. The ugly sisters fascinate me, too. If this story was Brit it would be very different ugly sisters. These are obviously grunged down compared to how they normally look. There is a set of three horror movies that they acted in, Ginger Snaps, werewolf stuff, starting from when the youngest was just older than school age, and they show something of what these two are like away from an ugly sister role. Their looks can change when needed. Cinderella Mary's best friend is another source of fascination. The screen presence is very much a seventeen year old school kid, but just check out her age. It is not just Drew and the ugly sisters who are ancient. * So, a really nice story. But a problem for Selena and a dancer as the credits miss out on a small but significant detail, stunt double. Enough to bring the personal rating down for me, from a 9 or 10, which it would otherwise rate, to 8 or 9. To me there is cleaning that needs to be done.
kim_smoak I personally love Salena Gomez! So far, she has done nothing like the "other" Disney Channel stars, and she still keeps her innocence, unlike a certain Disney Channel star that I will not name…but let's just say she thinks she's got the best of both worlds. Anyways, this movie was very good in its own way. It was one of those movies were you just felt good after you watched it. It was great for the entire family! Personally, I've actually seen this movie a dozen times it seems like, but I don't really mind, because I like watching movies multiple times…especially if they make you feel good after watching them, like this one does. Oh, and I love Jane Lynch! She honestly has a dry sense of humor, but she made me laugh so many times in this movie. I have never seen Glee, but I love her style of comedy…I may just have to take a peek. For daily movie reviews visit: http://kimsmoak.com/
k-a-t-t-t OK stop saying guys that this movie was predictable...its starring Selena Gomez, its called Another Cinderella Story...of course its predictable !! I mean, every movie lately that has hilary duff, lindsay lohan or any other Disney star in it IS meant to be predictable. It's all the same mold. And the thing about this one is that...its fully conscious that the movie is like every other movie that has Cinderella in the title. It's predictable and they know it ! I think thats the biggest shame in the whole thing. I mean, yeah they wanted to make Selena known...but why not try something different! not another version of a movie we al saw 1309849 times. And speaking about the age gab between the 2 main actors. Of course yeah we can see it, of course it annoyed me a little. Because omg...hes 26 :O But overall i think they are great actors cause we believe it even...that's pretty much it, its a movie i feel like i saw a thousand times. but well. Seems like these days thats the only thing we get to see.
