Earth to Echo Audience Reviews

Stevecorp Don't listen to the negative reviews
Breakinger A Brilliant Conflict
ThedevilChoose When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
Fatma Suarez The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
view_and_review Three pre-teenage friends are being split up because of what seems to be (what I've heard called) "imminent domain". In this case the city, or whoever, wants to build a freeway right where an entire neighborhood is located. So they've bought out the residents in order to raze the homes and construct their freeway. These three friends decided to spend their last night together following a mysterious map that appeared on their phones. The map leads them to a seemingly useless piece of scrap metal which turns out to be more than that. What they eventually discover is an ailing alien that longs to go home. This movie reminds me of E.T. if someone used it for toilet paper. Or Super 8 if someone used it to blow their nose.Even if we take away the fact that the movie was shot P.O.V. (which is a style I abhor in most cases with the exception of Paranormal Activity and REC) the movie was still bad. Nothing in the movie made me take notice: not their friendship, not any one character, not the story and certainly not the alien. I watched anxiously hoping for something incredible or at least something satisfactory and I found neither.Perhaps this movie was something new and awesome to children but it was a big dud to me.
wiz_lee I think people expected too much of typical science fiction actions out of this movie. That would explain why this good movie don't have a good overall rating. For me I stumbled across this movie and watched it without knowing even the title of the movie is. I was very pleased of the two hours I spent watching this.I was in the middle of doing something else, the interesting plot and actions kept me watching this movie till the very end. For the shaky cameras wise I am all good with them as they give the perspective from the cameras the kids are using to film the whole process. It fits the plots nicely not like certain movies that tries to use that concept way too purposefully. At the end I will some inspirations I get from this movie. "Compassion is mankind best quality" "Everyone can makes a difference" "Don't let fear controls your decision, do what you wanted and thinks it is right"
hoopkingus-68055 If I were a small child I may have liked this movie. However, as an adult I found it very bad and I'm not sure even a child would have enjoyed it much.I really wish that these high priced production companies would stop doing these home movie style video's.When I pay money to watch a movie I expect the production to be up to the standard of today's technology. I wish I would have known this movie was such a low budget mess and I wouldn't have bothered with it.If I want to watch home movies I will buy a camera and do my own, but as long as I'm spending money for a produced movie I wish they would take the time to find actors and writers that are up to standard, as well as video footage. To me these type of movies are to the movie experience, what reality TV is to a great TV show, such as (fill in you favorite series).
epicphanpy Earth to echo is the modern-day E.T, with a exciting, powerful storyline. Most younger viewers will love this film as much as I did.The film is about a group of kids who live in a ordinary neighbour hood. One day they find that their phones have 'barfed', and their screen is just showing a weird image. Builders have announced that they are building a freeway to replace the neighbour hood. The kids set of on a journey to find why there phones barfed. They find a small, damaged alien, which they name Echo. Trying to get Echo back to his home planet, the kids go on a huge adventure.Sometimes in the film it got too dark to see anything, especially seeing it in a classroom at school. Also at some points the camera got a little too shaky, so it was a bit hard to work out what was happening. Finally, I noticed that the film was slightly more focused on the kids rather than the alien Echo, yet the film is based on Echo.Other than that, I definitely recommend you get round to watching this movie, it is very good. I hope for a follow-up some time.
