High School Musical 3: Senior Year Audience Reviews

Jeanskynebu the audience applauded
Freaktana A Major Disappointment
Chirphymium It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional
Forumrxes Yo, there's no way for me to review this film without saying, take your *insert ethnicity + "ass" here* to see this film, like now. You have to see it in order to know what you're really messing with.
snperera I will always love this movie!! it is so great and I know it is cheesy and people think that the acting isn't that great but it's a Disney movie and the songs are amazing and the acting is great! You have been with these characters for so long and now it's ending and I believe they ended on a high note! This movie is my childhood and it will always be a classic to me.
studioAT After the surprise success of 'High School 1' and the smash hit that was 'High School 2' you can't blame Disney for not only wanting to continue the franchise, but also give it a big budget cinema release. The plot, as with the first two centres around a musical and the young students romantic and future plans. It involves a lot of songs (some good, some annoyingly bad) and of course, this being Disney, a squeaky clean happy ending. The acting ability of the youngsters has improved greatly, and it is clear to see why in particular Zac Efron has become the breakout star. The cast manage to carry off some of the more silly aspects of the plot well and with the conviction that it needs.I saw the extended version of this film and some of the scenes did feel a little pointless. One of the perks of the first film was that it was short and snappy. For the most iconic moments and songs then the first film in the trilogy is still the one I'd recommend, but for a fun family film this one still has a lot to enjoy.
joshuadrake-91275 After HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2, it was announced that HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3: SENIOR YEAR, would be the final film in the High School Musical trilogy and it is really good amazing. The plot is very amazing and the idea of calling this film "Senior Year" was amazing because this is the end of an era and the ending to a great franchise that was created by Disney.I was really excited to see how it would turn and it was really amazing once I finally saw, but I didn't get to see it until it was released on DVD, but my sister LeeAnn saw in both the theaters and on DVD and it was really cool. The songs were really amazing and just fantastically amazing and a really darn good choreographer and director who was great and so amazingly good this time around. My favorite musical numbers is at the beginning, where the say "Now or Never, "Can I Have This Dance?", and the prom musical number, "A Night to Remember".The only song that I can't stand was "I Want It All", but the version without Sharpay in the musical show, sung only by Ryan was really cool.I love this film's story and that was a really great story to pull off because I already lost one HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL movie, and that was HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2, but I have to say, for me and anyone who is a fan of HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, the first film and the third film are the only ones worth watching, so HSM 2 is worth skipping if you are a fan of the franchise, but I don't have an extremely amount of problems of this film as I had one major problem with the second film. The only problems with the second film that I had were Sharpay and way too many songs. The only problems I have is once again Sharpay, the idea of Gabriella trying to leave from Troy, again, the idea of creating a villain for Sharpay, which her name is Tiara Gold and the idea of Gold trying to take the theatre department from Sharpay Evans. Those problems were the reason why I put HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3: SENIOR YEAR on my list of the Top 10 Overrated Movies, but it really gives me a great and satisfying conclusion. The acting is once again top-notch and Ashley Tisdale as Sharpay, still gets on my nerves, but she does not fail to deliver and incredible and intense performance that really saves this movie from being too stupid for me.The music and dancing is once again also are really cool and they are just really amazing and is really fantastic this time around and they could have not done any better.Overall, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3: SENIOR YEAR is good, if not better than the first one. Sure, there are some major flaws, which are the ones I just mentioned that are the reasons why the movie appears on my Top 10 Overrated Movies list on IMDb, but Disney and the Disney Channel network could have done a heck of a lot worse, but I've also seen worse from Disney.I have also seen some very bad TV shows and movies from the Disney Channel network. This film is getting an 8 out of 10.After the success of HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3, there was an original idea for another HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL film, but it would not have the original cast returning, instead it would feature a brand new cast and would be titled HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL: EAST MEETS WEST, but that idea would eventually scrapped.A spin-off titled SHARPAY'S Fabulous ADVENTURE, starring Ashley Tisdale as the title character and the film was not good at all and I don't plan on doing a review of it because it is just plain stupid. To this day, they have been talking about another HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL movie and with the director and the original cast returning for the fourth film and it would be a challenge to get Zac Elfron, Vanessa Hudgens, Lucas Grabeel, Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman, Olesya Rulin and the rest of the crew back together for a fourth film and they have moved on to other and bigger things.I would love to see what HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 4 would be and I think they are actually talking about having Troy and Gabriella get married.Man, would that be a blessing to see? On the big screen? Heck, yeah. Hopefully they put as many songs as they need to in this film, but not too much because we saw what happened with the second film and I hated that one.But back to the possibility of High School Musical 4. They should call the tagline under the words "HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 4", simply THE WEDDING because if Troy and Gabriella gets married, I would pay to buy it on DVD.Yet, they have said it's release date, start date of principal photography or when the film will be in development. My God, Disney better say something about HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 4 soon because it's been a long time since the last one and I really want to see the Wildcats Team back on the big screen.Well, that's it for the HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL trilogy and film franchise overall. It's definitely had it's upside and downside, but I still love this trilogy. That's it for this franchise review and for right now. Thank you so much for reading and listening and I will see you next time.
giffbirds I felt the same about all 3 movies really. I'd say my least favorite was the first, then this one. All pretty close though. I did come up with a few problems that I had with this movie as well.1. Championship is being played on their home court again.2. They won back to back championships on buzzer beating 2 pointers to win by 1. That seems realistic.3. Why does Sharpay all of a sudden have a double locker? 4. How does Sharpay go from bad person to good person to bad person to good person to bad person again.5. Why is every show this school does a musical? Wouldn't they do a normal play every now and then? 6. Troy has performed in 1 school performance up to the start of this movie, yet somehow he's one of the people with a chance for a scholarship at a school as amazing as Juilliard.7. There is no way Troy would learn to Waltz that quickly.8. What is with these movies and having sprinklers/rain fall on Gabriella and Troy? 9. Would you really chase someone who has your clothes around the whole school if you only had a towel on? 10. How rude does a person have to be to say an invitation wasn't good enough? 11. Troy gets white paint on his hands from the fence, but Gabriella doesn't. They both grabbed it in the same area.12. How does a truck with as many problems as Troy's drive 1053 miles to Stanford and back? 13. What is up with this movie having so many songs repeated? 14. It was said that the show was 2 days after prom. Troy went to Stanford on the day of the prom. If they wanted to get back in time for the show, they could have because they obviously had more than 24 hours to get back.15. Even if U of A was a real school, it would most likely not be D1, and it would be almost impossible for them to be on Cal's schedule.16. From experience, the valedictorian usually wears something special to distinguish them from the rest at graduation. Gabriella was valedictorian, but wore nothing special.17. The choreography for these movies were usually pretty good, but a good part of the final song in this movie looked like a round of the harlem shake. Maybe it's because they have the baggy graduation gowns on.About the same amount of problems I had as the other two, so yea, all 3 movies fairly equal in how much I liked them.I just have to add this. When Gabriella yells Troy in the opening song, it sounds like Wes from Emblem3 singing Chloe.
