Killers Audience Reviews

More Review
Lovesusti The Worst Film Ever
GamerTab That was an excellent one.
Allison Davies The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
Fatma Suarez The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
A_Different_Drummer Have said this before but it is worth repeating. You can opt to review a film when it comes out. Everything is fresh and new. The film has to compete not with posterity, not with the future, but simply with the other films of its release date.Or, to make things more complex, you can let a few years go by and check out the film a few times in the interim. Here the film is the same but the goalposts change. The film may or may not get better each time you see it. It is no longer competing with the films of its year but rather with all films of all years.I chose to use the second method to review Killers and frankly that makes all the difference. The two stars were at their peak. Neither one is actively playing leads in romcoms at this time. But they looked gorgeous. The story is cute, the script is cute, the locations are to die for and the direction is friendly. The film holds up remarkably well and my guess is it will continue to do so for years to come.
Python Hyena The Killers (2010): Dir: Robert Luketic / Cast: Ashton Kutcher, Katherine Heigl, Tom Selleck, Catherine O'Hara, Martin Mull: Mindless torture comedy with a title that refers not just to the married couple, but also to every single nitwit they cross paths with. Katherine Heigl plays a newly single woman on vacation with her parents. She meets handsome stranger Ashton Kutcher whom she immediately hooks up with then director Robert Luketic bolts us quickly into three years of marriage. Suddenly Heigl learns that her true blue husband is a spy when neighbors, friends, the postman, co-workers, the kitchen sink, etc, tries to kill them. Luketic previously made the underrated comedy Win a Date With Tad Hamilton, and also directed Heigl in the smash hit The Ugly Truth. Here he is all over the place and nothing makes sense. Kutcher seems too young to play this spy whose past catches up with him. Heigl says the wrong things and her little truce circle is completely ludicrous. She learns that she is pregnant right around the time Kutcher discovers that his boss is dead. Tom Selleck and Catherine O'Hara share in the shame as Heigl's parents whom she is constantly relying on. The twist regarding Selleck isn't much of a surprise, and O'Hara's reaction will be ours if alcohol is handy concluding this film. Martin Mull is a waste as Kutcher's boss but one can be sure that this is not how he wants to conclude his career. The action is well done but hardly makes up for the constant irritation of double crosses. It could have been a satire about marriage but instead it is a film fit for knife throwing practice. Score: 2 / 10
Joyce Scheirlinckx After her boyfriend broke up, Jen decides to go on vacation to Nice with her parents. She promised herself not to deal with any guy during this trip, until she meets Spencer. Spencer is a handsome, charming man who has –according to Jen- something mysterious. He gives her right away butterflies and after a few months, they are a married couple. Everything seems to be completely perfect and it looks like Jen has finally found the love of her life. However, their idyllic marriage turns into a weird nightmare, when all their neighbors and friends try to kill Spencer. He might not have been completely honest with Jen about his previous job as an.. assassin. Despite the fact that he quit his job when he met Jen in France, his former colleagues still want to handle something with him.Robert Luketic is an Australian director of (generally) romantic comedies. Before the movie Killers, he directed a few other films such as Legally Blonde, The Ugly Truth and Monster-in-Law. The movie is made with a wink to the Mr. and Mrs. Smith film, which was a great success. People consider Robert Luketic as a traditional director, whose name doesn't sound very notorious. Katherine Heigl also played the leading role in Luketic's previous movie The Ugly Truth, so they were no strangers to each other. It's the first time Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher had to play lovers, but you could hardly notice. They seemed to have a good connection and you could almost feel the chemistry between them. Heigl is an accurate actress who is used to play in romantic movies. In almost every film, she portrays the incredibly innocent, slightly clumsy girl. Most of her characters are so devoted to their job, that they hardly have a social life next to it. She often plays the 'attractive, polite girl-next-door, who tends to talk just a little bit too much. An example of this role is her character in 27 dresses. Ashton Kutcher has been cast in a series of film roles, like What Happens in Vegas. In Killers, he is represented as a sexy, mysterious, gentle man who is immediately captured by the charms of his antagonist. In one word: a perfect husband. You can see that Kutcher has an excellent timing when it comes to eye contact and facial expressions towards his partner. He and Heigl make a cute couple together. The movie is a combination of an action-comedy story, with a few romantic twists. If you don't know what to do on a cozy Saturday night, I can perfectly recommend you to watch this breezy, entertaining comedy!
Teresa Belsky I love Katherine Heigl and I love Ashton Kutcher. They make a cute couple and frolick in this new Romance together. I admit it"s a little tough seeing Ashton move from the role of comedic jokester playboy to a 007 character. But, he's so charming, he pulls it off. Good job Director Robert Luketic! Kudos! And who wrote this stuff? Great! Funny! I don't want to give the plot line away... so again I will just tell you to WATCH THE MOVIE if you love comedies, Ashton and Katherine. Killers is a easy movie to watch. Very entertaining. Well written. You do get to see a couple good scenes with Ashton in them. My buddy Lance really LOVES ASHTON. He would LOVE this movie. I think George would too. Anyways, Ashton looks good, but I could only imagine if Ashton would work out as hard as Demi Moore did for GI Jane, and then make another movie, how ultimately HOTTER he would look. I hope he reads this and hits the gym with FULL FORCE! Go Ashton! Some Woman Named Teresa in Nebraska
