Intcatinfo A Masterpiece!
ChicRawIdol A brilliant film that helped define a genre
Beystiman It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.
Murphy Howard I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
skylarstierwalt I was a bit bored watching this, not going to lie. Its just a conversation that doesn't really tell you anything.
Platypuschow So Agent Coulson and Agent Of Shields Agent Sitwell are in a diner discussing General Ross, we have a 2 minute chat followed by some stock footage featuring Ross & Stark and the credits role. This is a Marvel One-Shot? It serves no purpose, where is the entertainment value in this? These shorts are supposed to be tiny stories, there is no story here whatsoever. The casts performances save it to an extent but what the hell was that meant to be?And furthermore how did this cost half a million dollars to make? It's less than 3 minutes long and is two people chatting + already paid for stock footage. Beyond belief, I can only assume their catering was the stuff of legends. One for Marvel obsessives and nobody else. The Good:Strong performances as alwaysThe Bad:What was that even meant to be?Things I Learnt From This Movie:They wanted arrogant and abrasive yet they didn't call me? Weird.
jhudson1725 While this one shot was sort of a quick connection between movies, it doesn't really do much or add to the overall story in any way. It was more to just give a quick reasoning as to why Stark went to Ross in the first place.I did like the conversation between Coulson and Sitwell. I have always liked Coulson as the straight shooting agent but this flick shows that he has a personality and some humor with him. Sitwell is OK though, as we haven't seen much of him anyway. I did find it interesting that the government wanted to send Blonsky over Banner though. Blonsky is a soldier and Banner was a fugitive so it does sort of make sense that they pick the Abomination over the Hulk, but as Shield knows the real story,it kind of adds as to how exactly the Hulk was actually recruited for the Avengers.+ Coulson and Sitwell + Quick explanation for Hulk, Avengers and Stark - Didn't add anything for overall story - Not as good as other one shots - Could have possibly done moreFinal Score 6.8/10
Horst in Translation (filmreviews@web.de) "The Consultant" is another one of these Marvel One Shot films and I have to say it's possibly the weakest of them. It's also one of the shortest. The entire thing runs for 4 minutes only and part of it is even archived footage including Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark and William Hurt. Anyway, the two guys who are actually acting in here are people who reprise their role from some of Marvel's full feature movies. They play minor characters in there. And we find out there's more than clearance level 6 and there's a solid Hulk reference too. Still, all in all, this short film added almost nothing in my opinion to the Marvel Universe and there was no point really in it being made as I felt it did not elaborate on the story in a way we needed. All in all, not recommended.
