Nightlight Audience Reviews

Redwarmin This movie is the proof that the world is becoming a sick and dumb place
Smartorhypo Highly Overrated But Still Good
Sexyloutak Absolutely the worst movie.
Invaderbank The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.
lyecoatha I'm not a fan of the reality horror movies because the shaky camera makes me feel a little sick and irate but I didn't get that from this movie, when the person was still the camera was still which made this movie very watchable for me.It was late at night when I watched this so it was very spooky and I felt a little on edge so I suggest you watch it at night too.The movie is set in a forest (and I'm not fond of being surrounded by trees especially at night) where a group of teenagers go to a place that is renowned to be haunted. The movie is shown from the flashlights point of view. I really didn't expect much from this movie but its special effects were really good, very creepy and very scary. I watched this movie 3 times and my mother watched it twice and I didn't think she would even like it but she did and she wouldn't let me take the dog outside alone she had to come with me and keep watch. We live near the woods so that probably had something to do with it. Another thing i want to add is that I saw stuff that I missed the first and second times I watched this movie. Well I hope you enjoy watching this movie as much as I did.
GL84 Heading out to a supposedly cursed woodland area, a group of friends find the claim that a demonic presence lurks in the woods to be true when they happen upon a terrifying force in the area and must find a way of getting out alive. For the most part this one was a highly enjoyable and exciting effort. What really works so well throughout here is the absolutely incredible atmosphere throughout this one as there's some thoroughly suspenseful and creepy moments in here that work due to the fantastic idea of how this one plays out. Playing up the haunted forest aspect incredibly well as there's just nothing at all wrong with the early set-up here, it goes from the early exploits of their games and camaraderie together with just the slightest hints that something's wrong with banging noises in the woods or animal howls off in the distance only to continually prove that nothing malicious is out there only to then suddenly turn that into a rather terrifying and enjoyable feature once the horror starts in earnest. Though there's some early fun here as it sets up the fact that there's something in the woods with them, once it showcases what's out there the film really kicks up with an impressive series of scenes as there's all manner of chases, confrontations and generally creepy encounters here that are immensely enjoyable and entertaining. There's plenty of utterly suspenseful times here, with the encounter with the boyfriend out among the rocks overlooking the cliff and the group in the woods where the falling tree nearly crushes them come off the best though the absolutely chilling sequence where they are followed by the unseen force turning on the motion-activated lights behind them which gets closer and closer while they wait for it to appear which it does in a rather chilling and startling effect, and the finale in the church is an absolute stand-out as well as the creaking wood and ominous foot- steps continually getting closer lead to a rather chilling finish. This leads to plenty of high-energy action along the way here with this one getting the dive into the underground caves or the attack on the abandoned car in the middle of the woods being superb stand-outs that really sell this one quite nicely and makes for another highly-enjoyable part of the film to go along with all the utterly chilling encounters. Though the found-footage aspect, given a more intriguing spin here as actually being framed from the lights of the their equipment instead of a video-camera as per usual, still comes with the rather tired antic of having the out-of-focus shaking visual trick that renders a lot of scenes really hard to make out what's happening and there's little thought into what's going on here as the story makes no sense, these here are really all that keep this one down.Rated R: Graphic Language, Violence and Brief Male Nudity.
atinder This is yet another one of those found footage movies and another that his set in the woods well we have a number of kids heading into wards woods to play night light.Well I never herd of that game before, you know story,.The kids are having fun , playing games and for while and soon then later , they all end up getting separated and bad things start happen then. This movie need to be lot clear , what heck was going, I did really no what was actually happens not that it was dark or anything, I was not to sure if it was ghost , wild animal or what ever at times and why ever it was , you don't really get see much of it at all.I did not like how the movie was edited as it felt like spent too much time on just two people and they met they maker and then they decide to show other two people we had not see for about 30 min I assumed they dead way before they reappeared as they were off screen for far to long.Well the main thing , this movie add nothing new, found footage , same old same old.The acting was not that good wither 4 out of10
Edgar Allan Pooh . . . (unless you count those portions of Texas covered by the compounds of David Koresh, Warren Jeffs, and all the other religious criminals yet to be burned out by the government). So it should be no surprise that NIGHTLIGHT's doomed quintet of Utah high school students cannot pray their way out of a paper bag (or, in their case, a haunted church and forest). One boy is unable to come up with the First Word of the Lord's Prayer when asked. The girl doing some of the asking prays to the dead leader of her high school's Satanic Suicide Cult, seeking an easy way out of her prom problem. Most of the "action" of NIGHTLIGHT is implied by sound effects and cell phone cameras juggled in virtual darkness. It makes one wonder why they even bothered with cameras at all, when the NIGHTLIGHT people were aiming for the feel of a 1930s-style radio play where the visuals were left up to the listeners' imaginations. The glop foisted off on the screen to the paying customer adds little. If you're Hell-bent on "seeing" NIGHTLIGHT, don't expect to be able to decipher anything on tiny phone, tablet, monitor, or TV screens. Just wait until it comes out on IMAX.
