Josephina Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.

jasontheterrible If you like the first scene, where the hot girl who is a medical student is moving a cadaver's mouth to feign sex, and orgasm: "yes, yes, don't stop!" etc., then you will like this film. It has everything most pervs really enjoy like hot girls, sex, nudity, and spunky kids.The more jaded students never stop cracking wise, as the naked dead have all kinds of disturbing autonomic nervous system reactions and poses. This is what the elite mean when they talk about high art.But do not be put off. It is well-made, well-acted, and quite brainy. The script is nothing short of brilliant, juxtaposing people who think certain of us deserve to be dead, with the others who think no one does. You know, because they might really be innocent, or unlucky.My only regret is that the spoil-sports trashed this so bad it lost money, despite being made for only $8M. I am sure many of the moralists also had a problem with the vigilante justice, even when it was truly just.Sure the premise of enjoying the dead so much you want to make more of them is farfetched, but it is done here in a profoundly fetching way. Retching may be the correct response, but if you are not one of the correct, tell a friend.

Jeffrey Did you ever come across a movie that you have had for years and yet have never watched? Maybe something you picked up in a bargain bin once and can't even remember why? OK folks – who's with me here? Anyway, that's the category that PATHOLOGY falls into for me. I think I picked it up just to see Alyssa Milano in something other than WHO'S THE BOSS. Her ten minutes of screen time here is mostly just for eye candy, which she actually provides well enough. The rest of the film is a bunch of forgettable actors playing one- dimensional characters, in this case resident doctors in pathology who are involved in a murder game. The idea is to kill people in creative and undetectable ways while the others try to figure out how it was done. When the obligatory new guy is introduced to the group, it is amazing to see him struggle with the morality of cold- blooded murder for all of ten minutes before deciding to join in. Throw in crack pipes and the now almost obligatory lesbianism and bisexualism, and you have yourself a movie! That being said - the production values are high, the actors are competent with the material they have, and there is even a plot twist that I did not see coming. If the purpose of a film is to entertain, than this one accomplishes that goal, albeit barely. It chugs along at a good speed before you really have time to consider the gaping plot holes. I probably would never watch it again, but it held my interest for 90 odd minutes.

suite92 Ted Grey arrives at University Hospital in Philadelphia as an intern.This piece of drudgery starts with hand-held footage of entitled idiots re-enacting the fake orgasm scene from When Harry Met Sally. The stars of the re-make are cadavers. Funny? No. Indicative of character? Perhaps.At an early group evening at a watering hole, the group starts talking about killing people. Which people would one be willing to kill? They are especially interested in Ted's answer. Soon thereafter, Jake takes Ted to the sickest depiction of a whorehouse that I've seen in a long time.The next day or so, the exemplar cadaver was the bouncer at the whorehouse. Ted is shocked. He swallows his extra knowledge, and comes up with a correct diagnosis of how the murder was committed. He does not figure out that this fellow interns killed the man. Jake was surprised that he did not figure that part out. Ted has his suspicions, of course.With very little nudging (OK, some extortion involved), Ted joins the group. He kills his first. He participates in the post mortems where the group tries to guess the method of murder. He does cocaine with his group. This is a still seems abrupt.In any case, Ted's in harness. How does this group of happy-go-lucky murderers end up? Will the joy of sex after murder fade? Do the police get involved? Are there any responsible, observant adults running the hospital? -----Scores-----Cinematography: 6/10 Well shot considering the overall darkness of the film, which is too dark.Sound: 5/10 I can usually hear the actors' voices, but sound is not really an asset in this film.Acting: 3/10 Milo Ventimiglia was wretched in Gilmore Girls; I expected nonsense and got a bland who-cares performance in this film. Based on his track record, I expected nothing good from Michael Weston, and found him more irritating than usual. Alyssa Milano has the longest record of disappointing performances, but here I saw a short performance that was not bad. I expect to see at least a few minutes of good delivery and dry wit when John de Lancie is a film; that worked well. Johnny Whitworth's performance was purely repulsive: an overreaching bully whose challenges are never met. How did this law-of-the-jungle lout ever get into medical school? His antics in CSI: Miami were not much better.Screenplay: 4/10 In the first ten minutes of the film, Ted seems to be a bright, hard working, decent lad who deserves to be well-recommended. His rapid descent into drug use and serial murder conspiracy seemed unfounded. The autopsy of Gwen by Ted was unlikely; it would seem to me that his doing it would be prevented by protocols. Also, the extracted heart seemed awfully large for a slim woman in good health. This film reminded me of Lord of the Flies, only the adults never show up.

Tcarts76 This one gets a solid seven for me, near an 8. Pathology is a tale of a group of medical student, who have access to a morgue, and devise a game in which they will try and kill a person in a manner that the rest of the group, while examining the body, will be unable to discover the true cause of death. They then spiral into an addiction to murder and even in many cases, become sexually aroused by it. Obviously this group has a god complex and a serious lack of morals, not to mention completely ignoring the Hypocratic Oath.Milo Ventimiglia, from the TV series "Heros" plays the lead character Ted Grey, a promising medical student that seems to be at the top of his class. He turns in a decent performance but not a great one. In fact all the actors in this movie were pretty good, but at times I felt the script lacked a little depth of character. Lauren Lee Smith sizzled as the sexy Juliette Bath, who not only likes to have post murder sex with men, but seems to be as equally turned on by her female cohort Catherine Ivy ( Mei Melancon). This movie is a very dark twisted story and I liked that aspect. The way it was filmed reflected that, but I couldn't help but feel like something was missing in this movie that would have truly made it a rave worthy movie. I still can't decide on what that is. Maybe it was the lack of a real strong actor, or the script wasn't great, or maybe the way it was shot was a little off, I just don't know. But whatever it was it caused me not to be able to rate it anything above a 7.Like my reviews? Hate em?
