Reptileenbu Did you people see the same film I saw?
CommentsXp Best movie ever!
Raymond Sierra The film may be flawed, but its message is not.
bingsfilms Redirected is a story along the lines of Snatch, set in Lithuania. The plot is sort of on a bell curve, the beginning being not the best, and the ending being pretty awful. The dark comedy and action found within the bulk of the movie is what put my rating up to 7 stars. I'm trying my best to avoid spoilers, and most of the movie carries some weight tied to the plot, so I'm just going to skip this bit on fear of being blacklisted. The sound is another complaint that a lot of people had. I wasn't paying much attention and as such didn't have much problem with it. This might be what brought my review up a bit more. Now for the people who won't like this movie and what they can watch instead:If you can't stand a solid 10-15 minutes of rather boring introductory plot, I'd say this movie isn't for you. Instead, try "Snatch" or "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels". (For movies of a similar feel that pick up a bit more quickly)If you really can't stand the lack of sound, I'd again suggest "Snatch" and "Moonwalkers"If you're not a fan of Darker Action-Comedies, a solid alternative would be "Kung Fury" or "Naked Gun".Finally, if you aren't an action oriented person, a non action-y movie that is more Dark in its Dark Comedy would be "Trainspotting". Also good.
Reno Rangan I don't recall that I have ever seen a Lithuanian film prior to this. Well, it was jointly produced with the Britain and an English language film. But most of film sets in the Lithuania, so there are many dialogues in the local and other eastern European languages. The cast was brilliant from both the countries, and an awesomely shot film too. The pace was excellent with a simple story, there are no boring parts. It totally surprised me. You know this film got a mixed response, so I was not sure about giving it a try. Anyway, I went on, but now I feel it is worth suggesting others as well. It is a road film, gangster theme as well, especially clash of the two gangs from the two different nations. It all begins when a group of friends decides to rob a criminal gang and leave the country for once. But due to their flight was redirected to Eastern Europe the misadventure begins. It was similar to 'Lost in Thailand'. I had so much fun watching it. Sometimes a film like this does not need a good story, but performances really counts and that's why I liked it. It is not a multiple times watchable film, but for once and twice, the entertainment is guaranteed. There is a possibility for a sequel and I would definitely yes for that.7/10
Dusan Luigi Indjic British humor was always the best around! This time it took the criminals for the Eastern European ride. Ever since the titles like "Two Smoking Barrels...", "Everybody Loves the Sunshine", "Snatch" or "51st State", they showed how funny the cultural, financial, genetic compilation, esp. "in the hands" of urban rough guys, can be Honestly, this time I wasn't dying laughing or scratching nervously, 'cause most of the things I've already seen the tricks. Even though this time it took me to a ride with the literally biggest east-Europeans around (there are also Montenegrians to count in in the "sizey" manner!) So, it all gets more interesting when confronted, with Mr Vinnie Jones in front! Anyway still loads of funny moments typical for the type of movie...
ellenrennie I am another who felt compelled to write my first review about this dreadful movie. I often read reviews on IMDb before watching and after seeing this movie I cannot understand why it was given such a high rating on IMDb. The script was very ropey, the storyline too obvious, the soundtrack overbearing. The acting was appalling and amateur, with some scenes being over-acted and very clichéd. There is no originality, it is trying to hard to be a Guy Ritchie movie and it fails to do even that. We watched this movie to the end in the hope that it might get better but we were all disappointed. Hopefully this review will save someone else from a similar fate. Do not waste your time.
