Sorority House Massacre II Audience Reviews

Ehirerapp Waste of time
UnowPriceless hyped garbage
Brainsbell The story-telling is good with flashbacks. The film is both funny and heartbreaking. You smile in a scene and get a soulcrushing revelation in the next.
Geraldine The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
gavin6942 Five college women buy the old Hokstedter place for their new sorority house. They got it cheap because of the bloody incidents from five years before. This was written and shot in seven days, which is pretty much the way Jim Wynorski operates (especially from the 1990s onward). The acting is so terrible and the setup is incredibly cliché. The way the flashback story is told is pretty hilarious in its cheese factor. And then throw in a strip club populated with bikers, gangsters and Saudi princes. Now, it could be worse. Being the work of Wynorski, this is what you should expect -- low budget, cheap thrills, and some topless women. If you wanted more than that (a plot, people with talent) you picked the wrong title.
Woodyanders Five sexy coeds buy the old Hockstedter place dirt cheap as their new sorority house. After holding an ill-advised séance, the spirit of crazed psycho Hockstedter returns to wreak murderous havoc on the ladies during their first night in the spooky abode. Director Jim Wynorski maintains a zippy pace throughout, brings a blithely campy'n'schlocky sensibility to the tacky material, delivers oodles of deliciously gratuitous female nudity and a handy helping of over-the-top splashy bloodshed, and tosses in neat nods to such grindhouse gems as "Hollywood Boulevard" and "The Slumber Party Massacre" for good measure. Tall buxom blonde Melissa Moore, busty Brit Gail Harris (whose posh English accent is never explained, but does it really matter?), foxy honey Stacia Zhivago, diminutive doll Michelle Verran, and fetching brunette Dana Bentley aren't exactly the most adept actresses on the planet, but boy do they look absolutely smokin' in skimpy lingerie and, of course, they all bare their scrumptious wares in the name of leering exploitation. Jurgen Baum and Toni Naples do decent work as a pair of hard-nosed detectives. As a yummy plus, the luscious Bridget Carney struts her sizzling stuff as aptly named stripper Candy and even ill-fated porn starlet Savannah pops up (and out) in a small part. Peter Spellos easily steals the whole show with his hilarious portrayal of tubby creep neighbor Orville Ketchum. The tongue-in-cheek script by Mark Thomas McGee, J.B. Rogers, and Bob Sheridan pokes merry fun at various tried'n'true horror clichés that include the inevitable dark'n'stormy night, hokey flashbacks, and the obvious red herring secondary character. The acceptable cinematography by Baum and J.E. Bash makes nice use of shadowy lighting. Chuck Cirino's sprightly cornball score hits the silly spot. A delightfully rubbishy blast.
UncleJesse-FullHouse I was trolling through the dusty section of my video store looking at all the pornos when I decided to venture into the horror section.I was after a bit of a horror fix and found this movie. The cover looked awesome and promised boobs! yes! boobies and blood!. The girls in this movie were all really hot! 80's girls are the best! There's something hot about skimpily dressed chicks with nice racks alone wandering around an old abandoned mansion with some big fat acne faced creepy neighbor lurking about.I felt the director crafted together the right combo of boobs, & atmosphere & breasts. Robyn Harris who played the lead 'Linda' was great with her sexy British accent (didn't expect it!) while Peter Spellos was funny as Orville Ketchum. It is definitely one for a late rainy night or to watch with friends for a fun time.7/10
udar55 For my money this is the ultimate slasher spoof/commentary that buries SCREAM. It may not be as slick but director Jim Wynorski perfectly walks the line between slasher film and send up. 5 sorority sisters move into a dilapidated house with the hope of restoring it. What they don't know is that this is the site of the Hocksteader massacre (oddly recreated in flashbacks with footage from SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE!?!). Throw in some booze, lingerie, a creepy neighbor and a Ouija board and you can guess what happens next. Wynorski fills the film with moments of clever humor about slasher clichés (but never the terrible "wink, wink" kind). It also has enough gory mayhem to be seen as a stand alone horror film. So is it the world's first post-modern slasher film? Not really but it is a helluva lot of fun. Wynorski delivered pretty much the exact same flick the same year with HARD TO DIE (except that took place in a skyscraper). Melissa Moore, Jurgen Baum (as Lt. Block) and perennial red herring Orville Ketchum (billed as himself) show up in that one as well.
