Tarzan Audience Reviews

Scanialara You won't be disappointed!
Kaelan Mccaffrey Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
Mandeep Tyson The acting in this movie is really good.
Paynbob It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
kennethtownsend-97230 Tarzan was a great movie. It shows many values like family and courage. Tarzan is weird. He grew up with gorillas. I think it's very unrealistic and at times I got really bored. However, those kinds of movies are meant for 8 year olds. I think the movie was trying to prove the theory to just be yourself. And if you do that, you'll go far. Is it a twisted way of getting a message across? Yes. Tarzan looked really weird to the gorillas. Though after a while, they accepted him. That is the real story. I'm not sure what role Jane had to play in the movie because she literally did nothing good in the movie. I guess it showed love to little kids.😒😩. I didn't really see why they had to do that. But they did. Even though some parts of the movie were pointless, I did like the true message of it. And I think Kercheck played a big role in the movie. He represented that one guy who is a bully and likes to get mad at people who are different. But at the end of the book, he reveals that he really liked him. That showed that he was able to change and show that he wasn't all bad.
digitalbeachbum This is the most god-awful movie which completely ignores all original story-lines, then adds historically inaccurate events from Earth's early years and finally has terrible animation. I watched the first minute of this movie and immediately knew it would be a crap fest. The idea that a meteor crashed in to Africa which wiped out the dinosaurs then remained intact to form a giant mountain covered by mist, (face palm), I can't give this enough of a poor rating. It is a horribly directed, ill conceived, poorly written and incorrectly executed movie. The only saving grace is that my kids were amused for 90 minutes but the side effect is that their minds have been tainted by a movie which should have never been released.
Madame Monster Nothing about this movie seemed like they wanted to try or even cared about the source material of Tarzan. It seemed like they didn't care about the book but they will rip off the Disney movie.1. The animation is pure ugly garbage. Their faces look unnatural, their movement look like they're zombies, the gorillas didn't look that impressive and the environment was bleak.2. The writing is awful and makes you want to watch a different movie. They rip off Disney movies moments like the scene with the water and don't even know what the true names of Tarzans parents were. Plus there are too many questions. Why did this movie take place in modern times? Why did the bad guys want the meteor? Why was the bad guy trying to blow up the meteor even though he said it was valuable? 3. The characters are all dull. Tarzan is the hero, Jane is the love interest, Clayton is the bad guy and everyone else are side characters. Plus the romance between Tarzan and Jane is terrible. They barely know each other. Jane is supposed to be the teacher of Tarzan to help him learn civilized values but she's just here cause Tarzan thinks she looks pretty.4. There is narration in this story....it's really bad. The narrator will bluntly say out loud what you can clearly say what we can see on the screen. Not only that, he will also say what's going to be happening before it happens. The narrating is really distracting and takes you out from the movie. This movie doesn't care about the source material, the Disney movie that it rips off and it doesn't care about itself. Just watch another movie.
amesmonde On investigating an ancient meteor in the jungle a boy's parents are killed and he is raised by a gorilla. As a young man he encounters his humankind again which puts him and the jungles inhabitants in danger.Without being uppity, oddly people are incessant, comparing this 2013 version to Disney's Tarzan (1999) which is a redundant consideration of the similarities or dissimilarities between the two films. The Tarzan character created by Edgar Rice Burroughs is over 100 years old, there has been numerous incarnations across many mediums over the years. After the prehistoric opening and the destruction of the dinosaurs this attempt by director Reinhard Klooss hits all the familiar beats of Tarzan incarnations including Jane, there's also the greedy corporation angle that's been well trodden (instead of riches it's the greed for the meteor's unique energies). The CGI colourful animation is crisp, clear and wonderfully rendered. While no more wayward than some of the other Tarzan stories out there it is still not the most engrossing Tarzan tale. The pacing is a little slow and narration is a little sluggish, that said, it looks great and has an edginess about it.If your looking for a definitive version of Tarzan, or something better than some of the classic black and white films or the much loved Filmation Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle this isn't it but it's not that bad either.
