tkbludis I hate this film to the bone! This film sucks on so many levels that I'm impressed on how bad the emoji movie is. It wasn't even watchable! I didn't see it in theaters because I thought it was going to be garbage. So I saw it on Netflix and boy o' boy I regret it. The emoji movie was boring, unfunny, it had horrible characters and a horrible plot. I'm not even joking this is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I'd rather watch Batman and robin again or transformers again! This movie is a product placement dumpster fire! Don't ever see it don't even see it on Netflix.

stephan-200-21579 This film has all the bits and bobs you would expect from a high budget animated feature; the only problem is that the message it ultimately sends to kids about popularity and being cool is toxic.Basically if your child wears braces or is not cool or is a little bit different then don't let them watch this film because it just demonizes them. To have the punishment for the fallen princess being relegated to the nerd room wearing braces is just straight out crap .

Michael_Elliott The Emoji Movie (2017) 1/2 (out of 4)Gene is a young emoji who is expected to be his "blah" self but he doesn't want to do that so he sets out to try and free himself to where he can be whatever emoji he wants.THE EMOJI MOVIE pretty much got a hefty beating even before it got released. The early reviews were beyond awful and many called the film one of the worst ever made. The film would still get a theatrical release but even the normal family friendly folks were pretty harsh on it. Sadly, my 2-year-old daughter loves to watch the film so I've had to sit there and cringe as she laughs.I must admit that I'm going to join the group of people who thinks this is a truly awful movie. One of the worst movies ever made? I wouldn't say that but I will say that it's one of the very worst animated movies ever made and in fact it might be the very worst that I've seen. As of writing this, I can't think one of animated movie that I have hated more than this one.There's no doubt that the biggest issue with this movie is the writing. The screenplay is deadly dull and it pretty much hits every cliche that you'd expect from an animated movie. The animation business is really booming now with some terrific and original films but this here is not it. THE EMOJI MOVIE really comes across as something no one put any effort into because they knew they could release it and the thing would make money.The only good thing that can be said about the picture is that the animation is wonderful. With that said, the rest of the movie is just pure boredom that has one awful joke after another and the characters are beyond lame and boring.
