The Invisible Audience Reviews

Evengyny Thanks for the memories!
GazerRise Fantastic!
Deanna There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.
Francene Odetta It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.
Neil Welch Gorgeous girly-faced Nick (Justin Chatwin) is a high achiever whose friend falls foul of gorgeous beanie-hatted thug girl Annie (Margarita Levieva). This leads to Nick being beaten to death, kind of. Except that he refuses to be dead and keeps running round being annoying. Fortunately (except for the audience) nobody can see him, kind of. But Annie takes off her hat, and her gorgeous wavy hair redeems her and, after a race against time, all ends happily. Kind of.The movie is an odd mixture of quite good and mediocre, and doesn't entirely go in the direction you expect it to, which is a good thing, and I quite enjoyed it. Kind of
aesgaard41 You think ghost movie and immediately images of an old house on a ruined yard, maybe off the regular path, comes to mind. Sometimes, you get the misfortune of having to deal with a sinister slobbering monster or a phantom serial killer who irrationally and illogically goes around killing the cast. "The Invisible" actually takes more of its cue from "The Lovely Bones," as a high school student plots to escape his neglectful mother and travel the world, but before that happens, he's picked off by his school's resident problem child and his body is dumped in a storm drain in the woods. That's where the movie picks up. The youth learns that while his body stays hovering near death that his body can watch and perceive the events of his murder investigation, but unlike real ghosts, he can't talk to or communicate with the living. Taking another cue from "The Sixth Sense," his actions on the spirit plane turn out to be illusions and don't manifest in the real world. Where is a psychic when you need one? Regardless of this limited premise, the film carries through the investigation of his disappearance and the enlightenment of both his character and that of his female antagonist. The action is picked up when the urge to find his body is motivated by its relocation to the local dam where it will be forever lost. It's a fast-paced engrossing movie with a compelling storyline accentuated with strong performances and few special effects, proving that Hollywood can turn out a decent movie about ghosts when it really tries.
TJMBuddlake This movie may be no masterpiece but I thought it was OK. I liked the story, the cast was OK, and everything I thought was just average. I will say after what I saw, this has got to be the most disturbing and chilling movie, I have ever watched. Not to give too much away, its a pseudo murder, ghostly thriller story. Thats what got me hooked to this movie. I was literally getting chills at every moment something big was going to happen and it just stuck with me until the ending. I will say, there were some moments that I felt were weak. Then there were moments where I felt sorry and connected with some of the characters. (Thats a total different story and I don't want to talk about it.) Anyway, I wouldn't recommend this to a horror fan but for anyone that just wants to get a good chill or enjoys something along the lines of a good ghost story. I find that karma since this movie is based off a book (sorry its not Stephen King). Overall, this gets a 6 out of 10.
fqlynx So this movie starts as a possible candidate for a great concept for a movie. But a third into it, it turns into... well I don't actually know - such a mess! It's like the English desert that Rachel makes in Friends, great potential... if it weren't for the mince meat!Seriously, did no one in the production office watch this movie prior to releasing it?! The emotional connection between the main characters is a farce, no where near strong enough to make a good love story. And the plot line is no where near intense enough to make it a good thriller. The producers should be locked up and forced to develop a time machine. Once invented, I should be given the time I spent watching this movie, BACK!
