WWE Rebellion 2002 Audience Reviews

Stometer Save your money for something good and enjoyable
Moustroll Good movie but grossly overrated
Juana what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
Scarlet The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
amanwhorocks 1. Matt Hardy V. 1.0 Vs. Booker T. - Decent opener - 7.5/102. Billy Kidman & Torrie Wilson Vs. John Cena/Dawn Marie - I have to put 9/10 cus Kidman defeated John Cena - heel there :D ha. Great Kidman 9/103. Funaki Vs. Crash - That was one technical thing with Funaki's sudden victory 8/104. Cruiserweight Title Elimination Triple Threat Match: Tajiri Vs. Rey Mysterio Vs. Champ-Jamie Knoble - Shame Tajiri went first. Then it was quite uncruiserweight, still some fine moves. Knoble won by cheating. 8/105. The Big Valbowski/Chuck Palumbo Vs. D-Von/Faarooq - I like Ron Simmons and in this bout shine even Val Venis. It was fine to watch whole amtch. 8.5/106. Kiss your Arse back match: Rikishi Vs. Albert - Waste of time. 4.5/107. Tag Team Championship: Eddie Guerrero/Chavo Guerrero Vs. Champs-Kurt Angle/Chris Benoit - Best match until that point. Nice team cooperation and full of great action. 9/108. Handicap WWE Title Match: Edge Vs. Champ-Brock Lesnar/Paul Heyman - Lesnar has advantage for whole match, Edge almost won but referee was knocked-out, so Brock then easily won. 8.5/10
kliko400 To say the truth, there;s nothing to see in this event as it is like watching Smackdown. except as a PPV. But don't get me wrong I like Smackdown better than Raw.FIRST MATCH- MATT HARDY VS. BOOKER T IN A RAW VS. SMACKDOWN INTERPROMOTIONAL MATCH Okay match, but these two know each other very well in the ring, this match could of been better if it took a bit more longer. Booker T wins after a Book End, then a Scissors Kick. 4/10SECOND MATCH- FUNAKI VS. CRASH HOLLY This is a Cruiserweight match, & it could be way better if more cool moves & acrobatics were involved. Funaki wins after a roll-up. 3/10THIRD MATCH- REY MYSTERIO VS. TAJIRI VS. JAMIE NOBLE W/ NIDIA IN A TRIPLE-THREAT ELIMINATION MATCH FOR THE WWE CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Nice, good match. Cruiserweights should wrestle exactly the way like this. Okay & acceptable match. Jamie Noble wins after getting a roll-up on Mysterio & grabbing Nidia's hand for leverage to get the win & retain his WWE Cruiserweight Championship. 5/10FOURTH MATCH- RON SIMMONS & REVEREND D-VON DUDLEY VS. THE BIG VALBOWSKI & CHUCK PALUMBO Pretty brief tag team match which did not take very long. Reverend D-Von Dudley & Ron Simmons get the win, but I forgot how. 3/10FIFTH MATCH- RIKISHI VS. A-TRAIN IN A KISS MY ASS MATCH LOSER HAS TO KISS HIS OPPONENTS BACKSIDE {ASS} Pretty boring match, but the stipulation of the match is funny. Rikishi wins but I forgot how, after the match A-Train refuses to kiss Rikishi's ass, so Rikishi gets him with the Stink Face. Pretty funny. 3/10SIXTH MATCH- JOHN CENA & DAWN MARIE VS. BILLY KIDMAN & TORRIE Wilson IN A TAG TEAM INTERGENDER MATCH Boring match, & there is no chemistry between any of these superstars, maybe except a little bit for Dawn Marie & Torrie Wilson. But still boring & sloppy match. Billy Kidman & Torrie Wilson win after Billy Kidman nails a Shooting Star Press on Cena for the win. After the match, Torrie Wilson kisses Billy Kidman. 3/10SEVENTH MATCH- KURT ANGLE & CHRIS BENOIT VS. LOS GUERREROS FOR THE WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Pretty good tag team match, off course mostly enjoyable by the great Angle & Benoit. In this match you can even see the rivalry almost heating up between Angle & Benoit as tag champs, they just cannot get used to each other. Angle & Benoit win by making one of the Guerrero's tap out, but I forgot which one to retain their WWE Tag Team Championship. After the match, Eddie & Chavo Guerrero try to steal the tag belts, but get caught & run away. 5/10EIGHT MATCH- EDGE VS. BROCK LESNAR & PAUL HEYMAN IN A 1 ON 2 HANDICAP MATCH FOR THE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP IF EDGE PINS HEYMAN, THEN HE WINS THE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP ALSO IF EDGE PINS LESNAR, HE ALSO WINS THE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP It would of been an okay match between Lesnar & Edge, if they did not involve Heyman in the match. But still it was alright as Heyman almost gets pinned during the match. Brock Lesnar nails a F-5 on Edge for the win & to retain his WWE Championship. 5/10There really is nothing special on this PPV, it will be forgotten soon enough, or not even mentioned.Overall I'll give it 5/10 & a D
gridoon This PPV was shot in England in 2002, and it's pretty good. Out of the 8 matches presented, only 2 are really poor. In detail: 1) Booker T vs. Matt Hardy. Not a bad way to kick things off. A very even matchup with lots of reversals. Booker T even does a little break-dancing after the match. **1/22) John Cena and Dawn Marie vs. Billy Kidman and Torrie Wilson. Good wrestling by the men, lots of rolling around by the women, funny "ouch" acting by Cena when he gets hit in the groin and a hot 5-second kiss by Torrie to Billy at the end. Entertaining. *** 3) Funaki vs. Crash. Fast and technical wrestling. *** 4) Tajiri vs. Jamie Noble vs. Rey Mysterio (for the cruiserweight championship title). The crowd was rooting for Mysterio all the way, and I agree with them. That guy sure knows how to use his legs. But Noble's girlfriend Nidia helps him through the rough spots. *** 5) The Big Valbowski and Chuck Palumbo vs. Ron Simmons and D-Von. Brief and forgettable filler. It's easy to forget this match even occurred. *1/2 6) Albert vs. Rikishi. The match itself is slow, heavy and unconvincing, but the aftermath (all that "kiss my arse" business) is probably the low point of the night. *1/27) Eddie and Chavo Guerrero vs. Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit (for the tag-team championship title). The crowd obviously loves Angle, and this match is at its best when he dominates. But the whole "Angle and Benoit can't stand each other" thing is rather tiresome. **1/28) Brock Lesnar (and Paul Heyman, but you won't see too much of him) vs. Edge (for the WWE title). Usually the big guys don't impress me with their in-ring performances, but Brock Lesnar did. The "brocklock" looks pretty effective. **1/2 P.S. If you watch this on DVD, the extras include a 1997 match, also held in England, between Shawn Michaels and the British Bulldog, for the European championship. It's an entertaining match that goes on for about 30 minutes and develops into full-scale chaos by the end of it.
wrestlingsitewebmaster Could have been better. The first match putting Booker T against Matt Hardy was good, but unfortunately the event takes a bit of a dive. John Cena teams up with Dawn Marie to battle Billy Kidman and Torrie Wilson in a passable match. Then you know when the WWE is in trouble when Funaki challenges the late Mike 'Crash Holly' Lockwood! Plus add to this a Kiss my Ass match putting Rikishi against Albert , and the terrible teaming of Ron Simmons and Reverend D-Von vs Chuck Palumbo and Val Venis, makes you wonder whether you are getting your money's worth, but thankfully the event picks up from here but only slightly. Los Guerrero's battle Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle and the main event sees Edge do battle with Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman. Why they added Heyman to the match I don't know but this does prove entertaining enough.
