Fluentiama Perfect cast and a good story
ChanFamous I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.
Jonah Abbott There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
Juana what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
joker-scar I am a huge assassination and history buff and have been since I was a kid, well only a history buff at that time. When I saw the book freshly on display one day passing through a mall I thought, great premise. This premise which historians, scholars and the general public have debated for decades has finally been put forth in story form by one of the most popular authors of the last quarter of the 20th century. Then it is announced as a mini-series. Awesome. On the bucket list. I bought the series sight unseen asap. Great cast, suspenseful story line "and" also the antiquated toe-the-line theory that Oswald did it alone and we gotta stop "him", not a possible "they" as most people believe but that thin as a angel's hair "theory" that a lone nut did the impossible. Is this what Mr. King believes or did he opt for that poor beaten to death horse concept out of some pressure to do so? Me don't know...? I don't read "fiction" and know little of Mr. King other than the novels that have been turned into flicks. Yes. I believe he should have addressed it and it does appear in the series in tiny spurts but is quickly forgotten and jumps quickly back onto the Warren Commission "single-bullet-theory" tram. As a non believer in that fiction, it was the only thing that kept popping into my head as I watched the series which irked me. The series is a must see for just the simple detective/suspense story that it is. I suppose the Oswald theory will forever be stuck in the fabric of the assassination despite any evidence to the contrary. Sometimes the bad guys do win.
dubwize James Franco delivers a strong performance in this TV series that grips the viewer into 60's Americana life. The story becomes interesting the more the primary character mingles with the lives of those in the past.A definitive story about time travel and it's infinite possibilities and the complications of a story of a man out of place with explosive secrets, trying hard to right the wrongs of the past. I found this impossible to stop watching once I started, and that's a very good sign of captivating television worth watching. Curiously, the FBI/CiA collusion within the story is a hat tip to the truth and about the only connection to reality. Oswald, though historically was absolutely a patsy, this show casts him as an unhinged gun nut Marxist Communist with a Govt agent handler, and a penchant for going troppo in the FBi field agent office. Nice twists on reality and paradox concepts throughout however. Despite it's small flaws this is brilliant viewing that makes me want more.{ edit - } After watching the final Episode 8 in the series, I changed my 8 star rating to ten. Despite the plot being oblivious to points of reality ie: 1) Secret Service told to stand away from the Limousine, 2) George Herbert Walker Bush as the head of the CIA involvement, 3) The next President having been pre- prepared to be sworn in 4) and at least 3 bullets fired at JFK, the many twists in the final forced a re-rating from my observations. Incredibly imaginative concepts, with amazing cinematography deserved to be applauded. Wonderful story, well told and despite being different from the book stands by itself for many reasons. Imaginative and creative being but two. The talents of Joe Henderson stands out, JJ Abrams stands out and James Franco DEFINITELY stands out... All the cast and crew deserve mention
gabrielcarvalhob Great series with Time Travel + Good acting + Good history and effects! I totally recommend it! One of the best series I have ever seen, it is also based on a good book from Stephen King, one of the best writers of this decade. I hope they do not create a new season, since this season is so complete and unforgivable
harshalagrawal03 So, I just finished watching this series. And, as with most of the series, I binge watched it. The plot was okay, but the thing that I liked most about this series is, that the ending and the plot was all very well threaded. The result being you don't encounter any plot holes which happens a lot with other time travel shows.Jumping right into the story. An English teacher goes back in time to save president JFK as the person who sends him (a war veteran) believe that everything will be better if JFK is saved. Major spoilers ahead about the time travel rules: He can only go back in time on a particular moment in 1960. And when he goes and comes back, whatever he do will be reflected in his time period. However there is a catch, if he goes back again, everything he has done in his previous visit will be reset. This one small rule is the key difference b/w this time travel series and others out there (which can't keep their plots straight). Also, because the event he wants to stop is in 3 years ahead of his jump. You will see, his one jump spread over the full series, instead of a lot jumps and tries. What this TV series is not - a cat and mouse chase, or a very thrilling series, with a lot of life and death situations. But a calculated and somewhat boring layout by our hero to save JFK. You will definitely think of a better way to do the things that he would be doing in the series, so you might get frustrated. But all in all, the acting, hard choices situation and an overall different way (than most series) of handling situations by our hero will keep you entertained.http://www.imdb.com/user/ur21352722/?ref_=nv_usr_prof_2
