Angie Tribeca Audience Reviews

Acensbart Excellent but underrated film
Ceticultsot Beautiful, moving film.
Cooktopi The acting in this movie is really good.
Calum Hutton It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...
jjkosullivan This is the stupidest, cleverest, smartest, and funniest sitcom ever. It makes fun of ALL other TV shows at once. As with the success of The Simpson's, you can tell the quality of a show by the guest stars that not only agree, but seek to be on it. Very well cast and VERY well written. We are 4 seasons in and I still go back and watch episodes from other seasons.
goodboy-23468 Don't get me wrong the show does have some good gags but to me this type of comedy seems a bit dated now (I am probably showing my age here). I can see how it might appeal to a younger generation who aren't familiar with Police Squad, the Naked Guns and Airplanes. But back then it all seemed so fresh and alternative and Leslie Nielsen was brilliant. But with Rashida Jones and Hayes MacArthur, although they seem devoted to the show, they just can't quite pull it off in my opinion. I can't see myself watching a whole season or more of it as even after only three episodes I find it to be getting tiresome rather quick. By the way, one of my favourites back then was Top Secret. Who remembers that?
Dave Churry To be honest, I've only seen half an episode of Angie to date. But, I've seen enough to know it's at least a direct "rip-off" of Police Squad's sideways, literal humour...and I loved it - I cant wait to see more. Consequently, I do not draw a comparison to "Sledge Hammer" - a show I despised at the time and may watch again someday to understand (or confirm) why I didn't like it (surely, there's a reason for the lack of a Sledge Hammer movie franchise). Anyway, this melange of "cerebral, humour-outside-of-the-box" type of cheap sight gags and double-meaning dialogue is, I'm sure, a far better waste of one's time than ANY of these laughable "reality" shows. If I get my DVR set right, I'll binge watch Angie. I'm sure there'll be something to see here. Oh, and Al, there's something on the side of your face...no, the other side.
elaina-212-171015 This is a police parody in the genre of Naked Gun, and it's one of my favorite genres. If you liked Airplane this should be right up your alley. Sure, some of the jokes are silly but that's kind of the point-- just get in the mood! Lots of puns. It's rare that you find a show that's this packed with jokes, sight gags, and hilarious characters. All of the leads are fantastic -- I love Rashida Jones, and there are some great appearances by Alfred Molina -- he steals every scene he is in. On a laugh-per-minute basis, it's hard to beat this show. And there are lots of great cameos by stars -- James Franco, Lisa Kudrow, Adam Scott, and many more. I'm hoping it comes back for many more seasons.
