Info

Ted, a successful but morally conscious man, runs a research and development department at a morally questionable corporation, Veridian Technologies. No achievement is too far fetched and no invention too unorthodox for Veridian. Ted loves his seemingly perfect job; he loves his superhuman boss, Veronica, and colleagues Lem, Phil and Linda, but he's starting to take a closer look at the company's extremely questionable practices... especially when they try to cryogenically freeze one of Ted's scientists for testing purposes.

Better Off Ted Audience Reviews

Cortechba Overrated
ThedevilChoose When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
Usamah Harvey The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
Frances Chung Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
updike-curtis Just re-watched this series again. It saddens me that shows with intelligent writing, great acting and strong intelligent humor are canceled. I loved this show! The acting was strong, the writing was exceptional, and the character development was spot on. I think I worked with many of these people in my life. I am not sure why the general public can't get behind more shows like this, I guess the mass population simply does not like to be required to listen intently or think while watching television. We need pop culture, shallow characters that don't say much so we can text and play games on our phones and only half pay attention, then still not even miss anything.
George Carathanasis This show started off pretty interesting, but that only lasted until I caught on to the humour. It seems that 90% of the jokes in this show are about sex and, while they can be funny once in a while, they get old fast. You'd think the writers could come up with some more original material for what they had to work with. They had so many things to joke about. The show is about a company that makes weird fictional products but, despite all the potential, the writers seemed to be fixed on just joking about sex. Besides the comedy, there wasn't much to take away from this show. Unlike many other comedies, Better Off Ted didn't provide any interesting story arcs or any reason for me to care about the characters. There was little to no character development in the whole 2 seasons that it lasted and I felt no emotional attachment to any aspect of the show. Because it's a comedy, none of that would really matter if the jokes were great but they were just okay.
frobin-jojo Better Off Ted is the best TV comedy show since Scrubs and for sure the same quality as the first 3 seasons of Big Bang Theory. Much better than the 5th season of Big Bang.I really loved Portia de Rossi as Veronica and the sarcastic and cynical portrayal of the big corporation Veridian Dynamics, a multinational corporation doing literally anything for money (even freezing his employees just because they can do it).The show has so much potential left open ... the ethical conflicts of Ted, the dilemma of Ted with Linda and Veronica and the nerd stuff that Phil and Lem could do ... so much left open ...... really a shame that shows like this get canceled!
derek-tomczyk I hear the show might get cancelled which would be a real shame. I first saw the show on a plane flight where it was an option for on-board entertainment and it was so good I had to write the name down so that I could watch all the episodes when I got home. I love the dry humour and the fact that the "company" actually reminds me a bit of my own workplace. It's deliciously evil and the characters are caricatures of people I actually know! Love it! It's a bit like Scrubs in a corporate setting but I think I relate to it better because I don't work in a hospital but rather in a corporation. I think anyone who's ever felt like the company they work for treats them like a nameless drone while the senior managers are fighting pointless political battles that only have their own personal ego's and advancement in mind would really enjoy the humour in this show. Go watch it and if you like it let ABC know they should keep this show playing!
