Elena of Avalor Audience Reviews

ShangLuda Admirable film.
ThedevilChoose When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
Fairaher The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
Numerootno A story that's too fascinating to pass by...
jtoh-96230 This show is alright. The messages are decent, the animation is just as magical as Sofia the First and the visuals are somewhat impressive. My biggest problem with this show is that I don't like how Elena became a heroine. I really hate how she sticks out that she has to protect everyone in an annoying way. Besides that, the show is good and fun for children.
dinergirlt Since making her debut in Summer of 2016 Disney Channel has proven itself to making magic happen with Elena Of Avalor and since Elena Of Avalor made it's debut it has become a blockbuster hit with girls everywhere and since it's debut Elena Of Avalor has soared to popularity and has inspired everything from dolls to toys and kids clothing and other merchandise. Although not officially part of the popular Disney Princess line yet Princess Elena is an excellent role model for all ages and in each episode of the show has a wonderful storyline great songs and a lesson for girls to learn. Some episodes deal with many problems girls face today like being a good sport making friends decision making to many real life situations such as starting school and moving to a new house. Craig Gerber really is a genius when it comes to creating great cartoons and with Craig Gerber's neat talent it's no secret Elena Of Avalor is such a inspiring hit cartoon to come out from Disney Channel in years and I hope Disney Channel makes more episodes of Elena Of Avalor in the future because the third time really is the charm for Disney Channel and it's all because of Elena Of Avalor
CaraMSchec so let me start out that I'm a 34 year old Disney fan with no children. I watch this show because I enjoy it and Sofia the First as lighthearted shows that bring me Disney Magic more often then new Disney movies come out.I've read the other 4 review of this show, written when very few of the episodes where out and I feel that I can expand on what they have said.Firs off, yes this show is a Spin Off of Sofia the First (a Disney Junior show), but with an older main character (Elena) so that it deals with ordeals of a more mature theme, which is why it's on the Disney Channel and not Disney Junior. Like StF there is at least one new song each episode, and they are written to at least sound like Latino music to keep with the feel of Disney's First Latino Princess. There are many other nods to different Latino cultures threw out the show. Which I find enjoyable, as it differentiates Avalor from all other Disney Countries, giving it it's own flair. Most of the episodes deals with Elena, newly released from the Amulet of Avalor after 41 years, dealing with decisions she has to make as Crown Princess. Elena's still a teenager so things don't always go as planed. There have also been a few villains that come threw, some with magic making her Royal Wizard a necessary helper. For those who want the backstory of Elena, how she got trapped in an amulet, how she got out etc. you will need to watch the Sofia the First special Elena and the Secret of Avalor, as, like I said, this is a spin off series. (I'm hoping that in the future there will be more crossovers and mention to places and things from StF in EoA).All in all I think this is a great show, and properly belongs on the Disney Channel and not Disney Junior.
dlapell2 So, getting with the "times" I guess Disney has now decided to roll out their own version of Dora the Explorer with Elana of Avalor. Well, it is pretty much that but instead of simple tasks that Dora would repeat over and over again until you thought your head would implode, especially with "I'm the Map!" You now have instead of Dora's faithful monkey boots, Elena has the three Jaquins who are more annoying then helpful, especially Luna voiced by Yvette Nicole Brown. She's about as subtle as nails on a chalkboard. Not to mention you also have Zuzo Elena's "spirit animal" so I am not sure if they are trying to play on Latin culture or Native American here because I don't recall Latino culture mentioning spirit guides or spirit animals. But since this show is little more than a Latino version of Princess Sofia someone in a Disney boardroom thought they needed to make to either suck up to the politically correct section of the audience or they thought they could make money with the merchandising we all know is coming, it really wasn't needed. But what the heck, I guess this is where television is heading anyway with this nonsense. It's just a show that wasn't needed, and seems almost like you're watching Princess Sofia on Univision.
