Info

In the blink of a tornado’s eye, 20-year-old Dorothy Gale and her K9 police dog are transported to another world, one far removed from our own — a mystical land of competing kingdoms, lethal warriors, dark magic and a bloody battle for supremacy. This is the fabled Land of Oz in a way you’ve never seen before, where wicked witches don’t stay dead for long and a young girl becomes a headstrong warrior who holds the fate of kingdoms in her hands.

Micitype Pretty Good
Fairaher The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
Robert Joyner The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
Juana what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
Finn Erickson **Possible Spoilers Contained**To be honest, I wasn't sure what I was expecting when I started watching this series. The trailers pulled me in and I set my DVR to record. The first episode was so... interesting and captivating. I was always wondering where the show would go, how Oz would play into it all.I was blown away. The characters were very well characterized and my favorite character relationship was West and Tip for their amazing interactions and the struggles they face together. The visuals were amazing and the story took many twists (I honestly screamed at my friends to watch this show, not lying) and again, the characters were captivating. After season one the only thing I can say is I hope NBC permits another season because I will eat it up. Like I told my friends, (Well, more like screamed) WATCH THIS SHOW!!
christine-vedvik I've to be honest, I almost didn't finish the first episode - but the pace picked up so fast so I just kept watching - and I'm so glad that I did!Don't expect it to be the same as the original, but that's what I liked about it. I really hope they renew for season 2!
Allen Smithie Adria Arjona fits the role perfectly. I predict she will be a major film star. As for the show Emerald City, I love the idea of making it more grown up appeal, in the sense that it adds a sense of realism that is plausible. The writing is nothing short of plain skookum. I love this show and hope it stays on for a very long time. All hail the beauty and acting of Adria Arjona.
Tcarts76 This show had all the promise of a good show, but ends up being nothing but cheap hype. The acting is so-so at best but you would think Vincent D'onofrio would be able to pull a decent performance, but no, it's crap. Ana Ularu as "West" probably has probably the only decent performance. The lead, Dorothy is played by Adria Arjona, who is a beautiful girl, and I'm sure may be able to act, but this is just a stepping stone to minor movie roles at best. Not her fault, she doesn't have much to work with. The look and feel is bad. I kind of got the gist that it would be, but thought MAYBE they would exceed my expectations, but no.The sets are cheap looking, the effects bad, and the script, just blah.If you want to pull off something like a fantasy, worthy of Oz, go big or go home. In an era of great fantasy like Game of Thrones, you just can't do this. I don't know why anyone rates this garbage at a 7+ at the time of this review, but maybe they like stage acting. This feels like it's just on a stage, and any minute you think you are going to see a stage hand walk onto the screen by accident.I think plays on a stage are great, but if your going to make a play, with sets for a play, keep it on the stage. Disappointing.
