Expedition Unknown Audience Reviews

Alicia I love this movie so much
Solemplex To me, this movie is perfection.
Aneesa Wardle The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
Juana what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
Randy Barkley I rated the show quite low, although do not mind it. The issue is that there is just no evidence to support anything. Most of the locations have already been explored, and the show just revisits the already known. There is no substance to the the study of archaeology.
mburks5702 I was looking forward to this show when it debuted, but after seeing a few episodes, they all ended up being buzz kills. They hype up the subject and mystery, then of course, not find anything. The only positive thing out of this show is, that the crew of the show get to travel to these cool places and WE, as viewers, get to pay for their travels simply by watching the show. Good for them, hope they are living it up!
intrepidami When I was kid there was Jacques Cousteau, and shows that actually found stuff. Nowadays I really get the impression on these singular focus finding shows, if they did find something they'd throw it away. Because their shows would end, and that's where the real money is, 12 seasons and syndication! Maybe after 12 seasons they'll actually catch a Yeti, a Bigfoot, find the lost whatever...None of these shows actually ever find anything! I have a friend whose a big sales rep. If you saw him in action you'd think wow how similar to Josh he is. Big, friendly, bumbling, able to make fun of himself, always winking at you like only you and him are in on the joke of it all. He takes clients out, gets them peppered up, and gets them to buy big ticket stuff. Just like Josh does with his audience episode after episode. He get's you to buy all his malarkey every episode. He certainly isn't the first. But it's like they pulled him from some salesman group to host these shows. We had showmen back then too..like Evil Kneival, but after all his interviewing about danger, he'd actually hop on his bike and do the thing! And occasionally break fifteen bones. Instead of just shaking the the camera violently and going to commercial and when we get back explain how we almost fell or slipped, crashed or ran out of oxygen, or got eaten by a bear, or heard something. Our guys would actually do something dangerous that we saw clearly on camera in front of a crowd of witnesses! These new guys are all faking it. On every show...Storage Wars, Finding Bigfoot, Gold Rush, Ghost Hunters, the Survival Shows, and shows like this one. And it's all faked with no outside witnesses. If these shows were indeed real don't you think once in a while somebody would actually get hurt? Like Steve Irwin? I mean every episode..they're falling, stumbling almost getting hit by something...1000's of times. It's all BS.Case in point was his latest episode about a lake in Africa where supposedly the Germans from WW1 decided to throw a chest or two of gold they'd never be able to retrieve!! They never say, why would they do something this stupid? Germans are supposedly throwing chests into every body of water everywhere, none of which they possessed the technology to retrieve. But Germans aren't the only ones...the Aztecs, the Incas, the Masons,,the list goes on and on and on. Apparently none of these people know how to dig a hole and bury something..nope gotta throw it in a deep lake. Then there's the incredible exaggerations about the size and depth of the lake. The lake in no bigger than a farm pond in America! You can see this when they have the divers on the surface, from an overhead shot, and get an idea of just how small it actually is.Then they try to tell you nobodies ever explored this thing and left out the end of the sentence Nobodies ever explored this thing..."today", or "for a week" I guarantee you that place has had every square inch examined 100 times. It's not that big at all! It literally ends being an underwater Geraldo Rivera episode.Geraldo is the one who started all this "legend has it" crap a long time ago, and all these guys have simply polished his schtick. After 30 years of this you'd think people would get tired of it.I was recently watching a new "finding gold" type show where they were trying to throw Ancient Aliens, Ghost Hunters, and Finding Bigfoot into their show! It's getting ridiculous.Yes at l;east in this one he travels to exotic locals...so doesn't Jeremy on River Monsters...but you know what...Jeremy catches something all the time, if Josh was fishing, he's come back with just stories about fish.
BluesAttic I like the travels and "quests" for things that will never be solved .. It at least sparks an interest to the globe of peeps that may not have thought about these things ... My wish is to see the Pics or Video of the Camera Men that go into the areas Before and capture the "OMG I am the first person seeing this or this is so deadly .. film me .." When clearly the cameraman is the person before this "drama" and filming the appearance .. duh .. " The lead actor has a great presence .. I would be more impressed without the scripted drama and see behind the scenes of the peoples that make this so much fun ... But I still like the venture ... is great for my grandchildren or pre-teens imagination ..
