Let's start with substance. It's literally the same show over and over! Open up the walls, put in a island, it's following the same formula over and over. I want to point out YOU could hire a kid to demolish a wall for at MOST a couple of $100. YOU could pull out the rugs and restore original hardwoods for again, a couple of hundred. and YOU could drop a kitchen island in for less than a grand! So why are these guys charging upwards of $100,000 for those formula things on their show? I can go buy Island bases for $200-$800, and then put any number(1000's) of tops on them for $200-$800 so why are the ones they show on here always at least $3500? I mean yes, they're out there for that and more, but who needs the Gaines to go buy a kitchen island? It's also my understanding the pair are only present while TV cameras are filming, which I had always suspected, but now is confirmed.Ohh and Chip plays duffas wonderfully. Joanna eye rolls wonderfully.

On the recent bad press you have been given, hang in there. You family structure, which I admire so much, will carry you through... while you make as much money doing what you do as you want. I love what you do and there should be a street named after you guys in Waco. Someday, I dream of having you guys as a part of a non profit I am designing for young adult parents. But I won't go into details because this review is about you,two.You have added more value to more properties than anyone I have ever admired before. It is amazing how people feel that after you give them 'EQUITY" and a very re-sellable property that they would not just sell it instead of holding you responsible if it rains.....SignHow many renovations come with a fully furnished house? Who does that? And may I add, Mrs. Joanne you have impeccable taste catered to your clients. Sigh, someday it could be me. I have watched every episode and I would trust you with life.(Don't worry, I won't put that in your hands:) )For sure I would trust you to rebuild a town.... Best wishes to you. The popularity of Tex and Edna Gaines mystifies me. They don't work with particularly memorable houses. Their taste is an abomination. They never say anything remotely interesting or informative. Tex tries to be funny when he's just a jack***. And I especially don't care about their brats or their goats. What's the attraction here? We don't learn a thing - not a thing - about home renovations. It's basically a reality show about a mediocre family of Texas half-wits who spend some of their time doing unattractive renovations. Put a beard on Tex and a couple of his offspring and it would be Duck Dynasty, Home Improvement Edition. Are women so desperate to have something to watch while their husbands are watching ESPN all day that they'll put up with this junk?

There some shows I like and some I don't. Joanna is great. Kids are darling . Chip can at times get on my nerves but I bet he's a nice person . The couple is great together. What I meant by Chip getting on my nerves do times is when he takes his comedy to far such as eating a roach . That's so nasty. If a kid see him eating a bug they might tried it. Not good . Drinking dirty water from the lake gross . One more thing is putting his shirt up above his stomach and shaking it is so gross. That almost made me not to watch the show again . I like comedy but it went to far. I do like chip is had teach his children they have to work in life . Also on one of the comment someone said the design is all the same and I agree and it's getting boring . I like it when they did the century house. A change was good. Put more of that in the show. Love ya . They are good people . Love the family. It was good yo see a family having good values .
