Glenn Martin, DDS Audience Reviews

RipDelight This is a tender, generous movie that likes its characters and presents them as real people, full of flaws and strengths.
Usamah Harvey The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
Aneesa Wardle The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
Zandra The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
hideme666 It's an edgy show. Check out the Amish episode -- absolutely brilliant! Why are there so many hostile reviews? The reviews mostly seem to come from viewers of a channel called NICK (is that a kids channel?).This show has unique, high quality and appealing animation. They certainly don't skimp on the animators. The few episodes I've seen have been quite interesting and have had good production values. The plots may be bit over the top but there aren't many animated shows out there that can capture my attention (most of them are quite bland and have been gutted to meet PG13 censor requirements).Check it out and ignore the NICK viewers (was there maybe a concerted effort to malign the show?). It's worth your while (especially the Amish episode)! This is a show that could very easily grow to rival the Simpsons when they peaked.
micandnic99-1 This show is very funny. There are many previous comments that this is one show that should not have a future, especially on nick. I'll agree that this show has NO business airing prior to 11pm, especially on either of the two nick channels. It actually has a regular time slot on 'TheN' network at 11pm on Mondays but I have seen it at other times on the other two networks. Message to everyone with negative comments - Stop being so stiff lipped and loosen up. It is just a simple show with simple plots and very funny delivery. The actors (or voices, at least) do a great job and I hope this show continues. I'm very surprised to read that even a Robot Chicken fan doesn't approve of this show. Now I really can't believe that. Robot Chicken is very, very 'Adult'only or 'Crude', yet it has a huge following and great success on Cartoon network, as well as on DVD. This show isn't as bad as your average episode of that series. I hope that there are some IMDb users that see this series for just what it is, funny, NOT for kids, and just 22 minutes of fun. Besides, since when does a 'Nick at Nite' lineup have a big following from kids? Let's run through some of the past and present shows on the network: Taxi, Who's the Boss, The Nanny, George Lopez, Cheers, Three's Company, Roseanne!!! All both inappropriate and misunderstood by kids. Have I made my point? Do I need to continue? Bottom line, JUST DON'T WATCH GLENN MARTIN DDS IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT!!! There are only about 400 other channels to watch at any given moment.
moviefreak907 This is, bar none, the worse show I've EVER seen! Absolutely horrible animation, clay and poofy and disgusting. The so-called humor is pitiful, crude and shameless. Physically disturbing feats are done by the ugly characters. Like when the father reaches his hand in the kids throat and it goes all the way through his body! Or when the dog's huge butt sticks to the window! It made me want to vomit! The ridiculous laugh track at the non-funny jokes just adds a whole new layer of stupidity to this mess. As if the show isn't bad enough without hearing 'heh-heh-ha-ha' every few seconds. I mean come on! It's so bad you need a cue to know when to laugh! The show's not even mildly humorous like The Simpsons or other shows that are on the crude side. This is just one example of why I turn to Nick @ Nite less and less: They take the good, wholesome shows and replace them with garbage and overplayed reruns.PLEASE do not waste your time with this crappy nonsense!
starlett2010 So, I caught a couple of commercials for this show and had hopes. I am a fan of Robot Chicken and other Adult Swim shows and I was excited to see that Nick at Nite was offering the same type of humor on their channel. Wow, was I wrong. Glen Martin, D.D.S is a horrid show. It literally gave me a headache. First, the story line is boring and I think can be found in a little movie called National Lampoon's Vacation. Except the "twist" here is that the father is dentist. The show tries extremely hard to copy the growing trend of gross, bizarre, sexual and otherwise adult humor and fails miserably. The jokes are so bad that a laugh track is added in to alert the audience that they should be laughing. But there's nothing funny about the crap on this show. The dentist shoves his hand down a child's mouth to retrieve his bitten off finger only to have his hand exit out of the child's anus. The show is appearance fixated on anuses because there is a running gag in which the dog's large, extruding anus is featured. Disgusting. As I said before, I am a fan of "gross" humor, but only when it is intelligently, satirically and tastefully done, which Glenn Martin, D.D.S is not. This show tries desperately to be funny, is horribly executed, and is just kind of creepy. If you're looking for a new Robot Chicken, Family Guy or South Park kind of show, forget it. Glenn Martin, D.D.S has none of the charm, wit or satire of the other shows. If you want a show that features disgusting and offensive material that caters to lewd morons without a brain in their heads, then this is the show for you. Otherwise, I'd stick to the reruns of your favorite shows.
