Hot in Cleveland Audience Reviews

Stellead Don't listen to the Hype. It's awful
Micransix Crappy film
Rio Hayward All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
Keeley Coleman The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
tracerules Cannot get enough of HIC! I thought when I first watched it OK older female actresses like Jane Leeves from Frasier and Betty White from The Proposal and Golden Girls. I thought this might be slightly funny. Well I was wrong. This show is too much laughter, I have to make sure I am not drinking anything because I just might choke on it from laughter. The awkward situations are just crazy hilarious. Great writing and great acting = great show! I watch re-runs and still crack up. It is ahead of it's time. My favorite episode is everyone and only a few slightly peak higher like the episode where Rejoyla is at Wilbur's christening and Elka draws a monkey head over the saint and at home when she draws a picture of someone she draws this monkey again and it is just funnier than I can explain. The pilot is the best pilot I have seen no slowness just right into laughing.
scarletminded I used to watch this on TV Land. Now I am trying to catch up via DVD. One thing I like about this show is the use of older actors, like the main four ladies, but also other actors like Carol Burnett and Tim Conway. It is probably one of the few shows out there that is a comedy that showcases older actors and actresses and that makes it stand out.I also like the shows that keep current, like the one with the Brony and the other where Elka paints that weird re-paint on a cathedral a year or so back. I find the plot lines to be unique. I will watch this show to the end and also its too spin off shows, because I did not know about them until now and they also have actors I like.
Dave White Hot in Cleveland is an okay show. I was definitely not expecting much other than to hate it and see it as another Golden Girls type show for older ladies with really bad jokes but it's actually better than most of the awful shows on network television nowadays, and some of the jokes are actually good.Betty White is not as funny as I usually think she is (I took part in the petition to get her to host Saturday Night Live and on it she proved she's still funny!) but she's getting really ridiculously old, hope she's healthy.Jane Leeves is good and she's still a very beautiful woman since leaving Frasier.Valerie Bertinelli is a bit annoying to me and I'm not sure why, I just don't find her very funny.The other actress is okay too.Over all not a great show by any means but there are definitely worse ways to waste a half hour in front of the TV.
bojoh06 Valerie Bertinelli, Wendy Malick, and Jane Leeves star as three beautiful, middle aged entertainment veterans from shallow, youth obsessed Hollywood where keeping a career past the age of 40 is a rarity, especially for women. They move in with a sarcastic elderly Polish woman played by the legendary Betty White. White's character Elka also seems to be loosely based on the character of Sophia Petrillo from her hit '80s show The Golden Girls, while the characters played by Bertinelli, Malick and Leeves seem to mirror Blanche, Dorothy and Rose from that same show in many ways. The show has also had some notable guest stars such as Mary Tyler Moore, Susan Lucci, and Jennifer Love Hewitt.
