The charming and still-single Joey, who has struck out on his own and moved to Hollywood, hoping to truly make it as an actor. After reuniting with his high-strung sister Gina, Joey moves in with Michael, his 20-year-old genius nephew, who unbelievably is literally a rocket scientist. However, what Joey lacks in book smarts he makes up for with people smarts – making him the best new friend his nephew could ask for.

Curapedi I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.
ThedevilChoose When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
lanadavis-43758 Shana Goldberg-Meehan is what is wrong with Hollywood. Her dad was "David Garry Goldberg" who created the Reagan Era Hit "Family Ties". So she never had to "Work her way up in Hollywood". Because her career was handed to her she was able to land great jobs that should have gone somebody else more talented. SHe was given way too much credit for "Friends". All of her scripts were rumored to have been re-written by the real writers. When the show "Friends" came to an end the main creators of the show had nothing to do with "Joey". Shana Goldberg-Meehan help create the show and it was a creative and ratings disaster. Shana Goldberg- Meehan lack of talent help sink the show, Not only did she create it she was also the show runner.Joey was a pointless spin-off and its characters had no depth. It lacked a main focus and the shows ratings were sinking every week. NBC gave this show a 2 year commitment. So Shana Goldberg-Meehan was replaced for the 2nd Season but the show was more focused but still just as average as any "Caroline in the City" episode.Shana Goldberg-Meehan went on to create the ABC show "Better WIth You" and Shana Goldberg-Meehan created another loser. A show with bad lines and poorly developed characters. She now is a creative consultant on "Speechless" and lets hope she is kept out of the writers room.
Soman Khan JOEY was my favorite character (Most of the people like him). Joey's shear dumbness and cuteness was the biggest charm in FRIENDS. But starting a new season only for him didn't turn out to be a good thing. Joey's character is super awesome like ever. A guy who can get every girl he wants to with passionate love of food. But his sister Gena was not up to the mark. So was his nephew. But I like Alex's character, she was kind of a spark in TV show. As show moves on, you will find it boring, as only Joey's scenes are humorous, rest of thing don't add up. And sets are pretty but you can't like them more than Monica's apartment. If you are a big Joey fan, you must watch it, rest of them should avoid this show. And to let you know, you're gonna see the serious phase of Joey in this show.
insomniac_rod Although the same writers of "Friends" created "Joey"; you can clearly see that this t.v. show lacks of the special spark that made "Friends" a hit and probably the most popular comedy ever made."Joey" had not-so funny situations but it was amusing to watch it mainly because of Matt LeBlanc's performance combined with the sassy attitude of Dream de Mateo and the cuteness of Andrea Anders. It if wasn't for the main characters, this show would've bombed before it did.The situations are your typical sit-com that does not deserve to be on prime time, and still, it managed to be somewhat entertaining.Still I don't think this show will be remembered for a special episode or anything else. The humor was forced and it centered way too much on Joey's personal life. This is a show that in some years will have a cult I guess. But for me, it will only be classified as "Friends" memorabilia.
jts0405 I personally was never a huge fan of the show Friends. It was never my favorite show but I did watch it when nothing else was on at the time. When I saw that Matt LeBlanc was getting his own show as Joey I thought that he was going to possibly get his big break. When I caught the first episode and saw how bad it was I literally wanted to write a letter to the creator of the series to explain to them how badly they made this show. I thought it would be good for a laugh or to because Joey was the funniest character on Friends, but boy was I dead wrong. This movie really just dragged down the reputation of that character and made him look terrible. It was honestly painful to watch this.
