Kevin from Work Audience Reviews

BelSports This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Portia Hilton Blistering performances.
Deanna There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.
g_ruiz Wasn't sure about this show at first, seeing the previews I thought to myself it was going to be a lame show. When they released the season premiere ahead of time on the app I decided I would give it a shot. Little did I know I would get immediately hooked on it! The first episode was great, I wasn't expecting that much to happen is such little time. Not only is it the boy loves girl but she's taken so you're rooting for him to get the girl but, it's also very funny. It has slowed down a bit and gone away from the Audrey Kevin situation but still great overall. There are many different types of characters which really makes this show great! Praying it gets renewed for a season 2.
cyntaxera After reading some reviews bagging the show, it's basically forced my hand into writing a review (which I don't really do...).To be completely honest, I wasn't sure how I felt about it at the beginning of the pilot, but the characters grew on me and I'm now quite fond of them. Some of the lines (especially with their witty delivery) I found hilarious and after watching 3 episodes, am eagerly waiting to see more.I think it's worth a watch - I find it great for unwinding after work and not having to think too hard, but if you pay attention you'll notice the more subtle humour that might be overlooked by some of the more obvious laugh lines.
Charles Herold (cherold) I just watched the first episode, and since I won't be watching any more I'll just review that. The main problem was that it wasn't very funny, which is always a big problem in comedies. It was all jokes I've seen before done better, with an episode on cringe comedy. I don't think I laughed out loud once. The leads are reasonably likable, but the series is a little too fond of stereotypes, and though created by a woman indulges in slut-shaming (probably less because it objects to sexual women and more because the show is fond of easy jokes and stereotypes (and no I don't give it a pass for a weak attempt to mock TV stereotypes). One positive thing I will mention is the movie has a couple of really clever transitions between scenes that were clearly filmed live. It's the sort of thing you'd expect from some cool indie film. There a little out of place in such a dumb episode, but I give the director credit for putting them in.
Franklie This show reminded us of why we don't watch ABC Family. It's just dumb. And definitely not family-friendly, not even our teens liked it.The supposed jokes in this show were mainly about irresponsible sex and drugs which are "ew" and boring. There were no characters decent enough to want to root for or care about. Kevin should be wiser. Characters shouldn't be referring to sex with every comment. They should also be healthier. We're done with stupid people doing stupid things. We want smart characters in more believable conversations and situations. Tim Allen TV show type humor. The other is just annoying and boring. You'd think ABC would be smarter than this. It's one redeeming trait is that there weren't any words that needed to be bleeped. Yay! Those words are unimaginative and the bleep sound is annoying.Come on ABC, we know you can do good, high-road, intelligent work, let's see it. We want to feel better about humanity after watching your shows, not depressed.
