Saitama is a hero who only became a hero for fun. After three years of “special” training, though, he’s become so strong that he’s practically invincible. In fact, he’s too strong — even his mightiest opponents are taken out with a single punch, and it turns out that being devastatingly powerful is actually kind of a bore. With his passion for being a hero lost along with his hair, yet still faced with new enemies every day, how much longer can he keep it going?

One-Punch Man Audience Reviews

Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
WillSushyMedia This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.
BelSports This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Billy Ollie Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
socialsunshine-12645 For most of the series, I really liked what was happening. The concept was good and the characters (that were introduced in the beginning episodes) were pretty fun. I was happy with everything until the last few episodes where they introduced their only black and *openly gay* characters. These characters were just horrible stereotypes that just seemed so out of place and unnecessary to the show. The gay guy's literal trope was that he's been locked up in prison for abusing and stalking men. The fact that they felt the need to make this guy a shameless pervert is so toxic, especially since we live in a world where many people already have this view about gay men (which is a lot of people's rational for hating and persecuting gay people). Then the only black hero is literally just a blackface stereotype: Big lips and bulging eyes. He is seemingly fearful of any test of authority and doesn't actually contribute anything to the team while he's there. His character is basically there shucking and jiving, obviously just being included for some sort of sick entertainment value. These types of stereotypes are gross and significantly decreased any amount of respect or enjoyment that I had for the show. It's 2018, do better smh.
danielf-96308 This is the best anime I've watched, from the epic battles to the comedy, this is easily #2 on my favorite anime of all time behind Death Note.
thomasjay-52277 A simple yet overlooked idea this show and its premise is truly fantastic. Focusing on the most powerful hero in the world who's rising up the ranks of the superhero world whilst trying to retain his personality there's so much fun to be had. Great action sequences and the perfect blend of comedy/drama/action all on beat to a fantastic score this show is truly brilliant. Refreshing the genre and ironically strong in every way there's many appealing factors to this show. Covering a lot of content in brisk episode times this quick series is superb, watch it!
Zone 9 I don't get why this has such a high rating or why it so hyped. It's not funny, it's not interesting and the artwork is not as great as they say it is. I was really hoping for something better. The humor would only appeal to an 8 year old at best and the main character really doesn't have much of a personality.
