Info

Seeking the chance to build a better future, a group of courageous pioneers departs Earth for Carpathia, a newly discovered planet in a distant galaxy. Led by President Richard Tate and his core team of Stella, Cass and Fleur, the pioneers settle in the town of Forthaven, creating a society there alongside expeditionaries Mitchell and Jack. Having embraced all the challenges that come with forging a new beginning, the townspeople work hard to preserve what they've built on Carpathia, and even as they long for those left behind, there is optimism about the future. But while they try to learn from mistakes made on Earth, there is no avoiding the human pitfalls of love, greed, lust and loss.

Outcasts Audience Reviews

Perry Kate Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
Actuakers One of my all time favorites.
Stevecorp Don't listen to the negative reviews
Tymon Sutton The acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.
lepietz President of small colony of few surviving humans on friendly planet has most people employed cleaning weapons and spying each other. Wife keeps spying papers about her husband in their apartment for the husband to see. Violent husband kills his loving wife about nothing. Gunless security people shout at violent guy with gun instead of deescalating and have someone shot in the process. Security guy walks too relaxed behind violent husband and almost falls from a cliff on a wide wide path. Security people almost gets shot by shouting at violent husband again. Violent husband gets shot by extremely clever security people. People from another spacecraft arriving at planet start fixing temperature protection after five years of apparently doing nothing. On entry into the atmosphere huge spacecraft burns anyways - even after fixing things for almost a day.
Nick Note Just finished watching all 8 episodes today. I believe you are missing the most important points of this show. Before I begin though, I want to say, most people today want action, sex, no plot, no story to tell but high end computer graphic action. You know, people who can fly, jump 20 story buildings, walk on water, etc.To me, this show is more then just action and fiction. It indirectly deals with humans and their emotions, lies, dissect, manipulating, and secrets, and unknown answers. If people with open minds give it a chance, this show could teach many issues we deal with on Earth every day. When people get caught up in their emotions, fears, their own secrets, without facts many things can happen. Like this show is trying to portraying, in my humble thinking.Sure everyone only seems to want action in movies these days. Sure there are holes in this story. Show me any show today that does not have many holes? But I believe so far this is one of the best fictions about humans going to another plant to start civilization over.Sometimes your have to get over some missing detail to see the whole picture. I hope the creator of this show continues to Session 2 with more episodes. It just started getting good! I could go into more detail, but most would not read a long thread.
pensman Production values are pretty good for this series but it plods. The first six episodes really provide background exposition but even then it's not complete. Episode seven gets off on a tangent and episode eight doesn't really provide a conclusion as someone must have hoped there would be a second series but the series was canceled because of poor viewer ship. Eric Mabius is the epitome of unctuous and makes for a good villain. If you do decide to watch then you have to watch the first two episodes to get the basic background but when you get to the end and there is no real resolution there is a sense you have wasted eight hours.
lexcooper-236-785503 The absolute only problems with this show are the lack of quality definition and the casting in part...The truth of it is that Outcasts will most definitely join the likes of Star-Trek: The Next Generation and Battlestar Galactica (2004) as one of the more intriguing science fiction shows ever made. The writing and casting are nearly the absolute best while showing of signs of improvement as anyone could see at the end of season one. However, the seasons run shorter than I would like. I would love to see at least 15 episodes per season but this show only had eight for season one. When the show starts out it gains the audience attention right away with dramatic villainy and wonderful action. Developing through the season the show pays good attention to the development of the characters in a manner similar to the writing behind BSG 2004. And as with BSG and any other great drama it leaves you with an imminent attack and multiple facets to a great cliffhanger. I cannot wait to see what happens in Season Two next year. May this show get signed up for the development of at least four or five seasons if not more.
