Bob This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
sjskplfld I had tons of fun watching this mini-series. Now first off, I realize that people take sides, some give 10/10 for re-humanizing the cult in some ways and some give 1/10 because they think it is an anti-government propaganda. I tried to stay neutral and review it as only a TV show.About the show, the acting is golden. It makes you feel like you were in the compound. The plot also keeps its historical accuracy and overall entertainment of a TV show except some small inaccuracies. Whether you like David Koresh or not, you can't justify this attack on other innocent men, women and children. And this TV show does an amazing job at re-humanizing these people who were demonized back then.
shcirrone I really enjoyed this series. I think it gave a more sympathetic and detailed view of the Branch Davidians. But how is Gary Noesner getting away with inserting himself in the position it seems clear Byron Sage occupied. Many of the conversations purported to have gone on between Noesner and Koresh are conversations the world has already heard happen between SAGE and Koresh. Not Noesner. So while I did enjoy the acting and the story. It seemed to be a more fair example of the Davidians than that showed by other media, but very disappointing that Noesner clearly pretends to have done things he did not do. I have followed and watched many shows about Waco in the last 25 years and this series is the very first time I ever even heard of Noesner. And it's a fact that he was NOT at Waco for the whole 51 days of the siege. He was replaced by Clint Van Sandt after a few weeks. Very disappointing. And I wonder what Byron Sage thinks about it
khaoulah-94296 Simply outstanding! Great performances by everyone, with amazing directing, writing, ... everything. A must watch the ending will haunt you.
palacerevolution2000 I actually went into this show with relatively high expectations. So far I have found much of dialogue laughably bad. Especially in Shannon's case - a couple of times I had to ask myself , if I was missing out on a joke; so overwrought and shallow have been his lines. Shannon is a fine actor, as is Kitsch. But I wonder if the show would have benefited from those two swapping roles. These are all good actors, high standards all around; is it Paramount Network that is responsible for thew writing? US viewing audiences are being dumbed down by clumsy scripts that go for easy triggers and laughs, and put continuity and common sense on the back burner. Take Leguizamo's character e.g., sneaking through the compound with a hand drawn map at elbow length, with a big red X on it; I mean, come on, LOL...
