Matthew, a college freshman, meets his dream girl in a dorm elevator during a blackout. He never sees her face, but instantly falls in love. In the morning, the power is restored, but the "dream girl" has vanished. All Matthew knows is that she lives in an all-girls dorm. He sets out on a semester-long journey to find his mystery girl among a hundred female suspects. Could it be Wendy? Dora? Arlene? Patty? Cynthia? Or the 95 other girls, any of whom could have been in that elevator with Matthew.

100 Girls Audience Reviews

Micitype Pretty Good
Borserie it is finally so absorbing because it plays like a lyrical road odyssey that’s also a detective story.
Kirandeep Yoder The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.
Ginger Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.
Di Bobi When I first saw this movie around the year 2000 both my IQ and my age were the same single-digit number which probably explains why I remembered it as a decent yet unfunny movie. Watching it as an adult... I realise it's terrible, and unfunny. It's just a guy's beta male monologue over and over about how girls are the greatest thing ever etc etc sprinkled with alot of white knighting and belittling of men. It's the most generic and lazy, flat beta male writer's chick flick movie. There's plenty of those out there but this one is as flat as they can get.Avoid at all costs, everyone involved in this movie should've been doing their best to remove their names from it's IMDb page, especially Jaime Pressly who went on to be in some actually funny movies. With a braindead lead character, a terrible mix of gross female worshipping yet also cheap sexual exploitation, ultra slow pacing and only one funny scene with nipple twisting which doesn't hold up in 2018, this isn't a good movie to see now and barely was 18 years ago.
Quebec_Dragon A teen guy has an intimate encounter both physically and emotionally with a young woman in an elevator during a blackout after a party at a women's dorm. Having of course fallen in love and left with only her panties as a clue, he infiltrates this women's only dorm as a handyman to find his true love amongst the 100 girls living there. The plot sounds at best rather lame and at worst like bad porn. However, despite that initial ridiculous premise, "100 girls" is rather smart, sweet and heartfelt as well as being funny. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty raunchy. There's lots of nudity and sex jokes but it's more than that. It sometimes sounds preachy but I thought it was a good exploration of how north American teen guys could view women and it was interesting to see and hear how the main character evolves. Also worthwhile are the musings on men-women relationships and gender differences. It's from a first-person narrator's perspective and you hear the main character's thoughts somewhat like a diary. One of the things I liked most here is how there were several suitable, very likable girl candidates as "the one" he's searching for. The mystery aspect is not particularly strong but it was very nice not to have just one obvious choice as the love interest as in most movies. Although several of the secondary girls were one-note caricatures, yet fun, the acting was above average with a few stand-outs such as Crick the prick, the misogynistic best friend Rod and the sweet Wendy. The main character did an okay job but his non-verbal acting seemed lacking especially when his face and eyes were supposed to show love. The directing was above par with interesting camera choices that were clever without losing viewer's comprehension. The low budget sometimes made things look like a TV-movie but nothing major or distracting.Guys might be attracted by the sexy outer shell and plot line but be surprised at how thoughtful and engaging it turns out to be. I suspect some guys only looking for low-brow sex comedy hijinks will be disappointed. Girls who might be turned off by the sexy outer shell and plot line would probably like it too because of the many types of non-bimbo women shown, the romantic aspect and the speeches about man-woman differences. "100 girls" is sometimes awkward and superficial, like a teen, but it grows on you as you get to spend more time with it. Catch it if you can, either watching it alone or as a couple.
movieman_kev Geeky Matthew (John tucker) loses his virginity screwing some cooze during a blackout, the next morning she's nowhere to be found. So immediately falling in love with her, he goes on a quest to find this nameless girl who could be any of the 100 girls whom live in the dormitory. His roommate, Rod (James DeBello, better know for his part in the MUCH better Detroit Rock City) is there to act as a soundboard which Mat gets to tell his ideas too (and adds to the sophomoric teen comedy humor quota obviously). The film isn't that bad for a teen comedy, if you can get past the abundant pitiful similes, metaphors and the fact that Tucker doesn't really have the look to really pull off the shenanigans this movie wants us to readily believe. A couple of enormous hurdles indeed. it's not bad, but there are so many worthier teen comedies out there.Eye Candy: Biljana Filipovic gets topless My Grade: C-
ell_wu Teen comedies in general are pretty silly and stupid. Most of these movies know it and they don't even TRY to take themselves seriously. At least they're honest about it.100 Girls, on the other hand, tries to deliver "insight" into sexism and differences the sexes but really just goes out of it's way to show 2 hours of wishful thinking from the perspective of a "nice guy".Basically, this movie reduces men and women relationships down to such asinine levels it hurts. It first does so by reducing men down to 2 archtypes: Assholes and Nice Guys. Ron and Crick? Assholes, and both are just severely insecure with themselves. And of course, they're so unbelievably misogynist that by comparison, the main character's misogyny almost seems benign. But let's see what this kid does: He breaks into a women's dorm, invades half of their privacies, vandalizes half of the dorm facilities, and all this because he was looking for that one girl that he might or might not have met. Yeah, if that's not friggin' creepy stalker behavior, I don't know what is.And of course, all these women are just SWOONING over him. Not a single one finds him utterly creepy. Not one.OH yeah, and we have strawman of a professor, the feminazi of women's studies. Great. Another caricature born out of ignorance for the studies.ugh, at least American Pie had the decency not to include a goddamn manifesto in its dialogue.
