30 Days of Night: Dark Days Audience Reviews

More Review
HeadlinesExotic Boring
GarnettTeenage The film was still a fun one that will make you laugh and have you leaving the theater feeling like you just stole something valuable and got away with it.
Edison Witt The first must-see film of the year.
Rosie Searle It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Venom_81 The first episode was interesting and based on a quite new idea, definitively better than this one. This sequel doesn't get the point, the story has big gap, the characters are flat with no past to tell and with no evolution during the movie, the vampire can be injured an killed by shotgun and mini gun and hordes of vampire can be stopped just by a looked door..OK isn't a baby vampire movie and isn't a first love movie as (twilight saga) and I have to say that the story is also quite dark, but after 30 minutes I found very difficult to continue watching it until end. If you want to watch a nice vampire movie take a look at something else
SnoopyStyle It's almost a year after Barrow, Alaska was decimated. The town has gone back to normal. Stella Oleson (Kiele Sanchez) is trying to convince a disbelieving world that vampires exist. In L.A., Paul (Rhys Coiro), Amber (Diora Baird) and Todd (Harold Perrineau) are vampire hunters who introduces her to their vampire ally Dane and their mission to kill the vampire queen Lilith (Mia Kirshner). After such a great start with the original, this is a rather disappointing sequel. I get a sense that this wants to expand this universe and Stella keeps mentioning a war in the opening narration. However, this franchise takes one giant step back into the crowded countless run-of-the-mill straight-to-DVD vampire B-movies.It's always problematic that nobody believes. In this world, the vampires have attacked all around the country. It doesn't look like there's a vast conspiracy. The vampires aren't running the country. Even with the craziest ideas, there are people willing to believe but apparently nobody believes Stella even when they witness vampires getting smoked. I don't get how the Alaskan town could go back to normal and the massacre being explained away. I don't get how this is not big news. I don't get why this is not going viral. There is also the lack of tension. The original is such a compelling horror. The vampires got frightening again. This movie pales in comparison. Maybe my expectations were too high. There is no longer any point in continuing the franchise along this line. It's such a short time since the original but a reboot is probably the only way to go next.
ikeybabe I wasn't a huge fan of the original "30 Days of Night" and rated it 5 stars, so this movie which was considerably worst but not the absolute worst movie I've ever seen so I gave it 3 stars. I only watched this because I like Kiele Sanchez and Rhys Coiro and Harold Perrineau too. But this movie was very disappointing. The story was weak, the acting average thanks to poorly-written dialogue and the ending was just ridiculous. The start of the movie in the auditorium with the lights was pretty cool and gave me hope, but then everything else was a complete let down. And, *SPOILER ALERT* the black dude was the first to die! Come on, that's not supposed to happen any more. Killing off that nervous chick who just got on your nerves would have been far better. But really, in the end the sole survivor *SPOILER ALERT* goes back home, reanimates her long-charred husband whom she knows will come back a vampire was just stupid.
GL84 Having survived the original massacre in Alaska, a woman finds herself joined with a group of vampire slayers to take down the mastermind behind the original group's plans of attacking the town when she arrives in Los Angeles to get over the whole ordeal. This turned out to be a surprisingly enjoyable effort, though it has some flaws. The positives are mostly due to an extreme amping up of gore here which makes for some incredibly messy scenes including several raids on vampire hideouts, a ton of shootouts and even a lot of great messy kills on both species, which makes for some great times. The extra layer to their society explored here makes for some creepy moments and even makes them a lot more intelligent than previously thought, which is helped along by the nice detail given in the story as well as the action scenes throughout, though it could use a bit more explanation as to what happened amongst the group which just seems a little short and not all that detailed. Overall, a great sequel and definitely worthwhile.Rated R: Graphic Violence, Graphic Language and Full Nudity.
