500 MPH Storm Audience Reviews

FeistyUpper If you don't like this, we can't be friends.
Tayloriona Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
Guillelmina The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
Kinley This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
Leofwine_draca My mini splurge of Asylum disaster movies concludes with 500 MPH STORM, sadly one of the worst entries I've seen in the series (although nowhere near as bad as AGE OF ICE). This one follows a set plot line that heavily copies the other films (such as SUPER CYCLONE): a determined scientist must lead his friends/family through a series of increasingly dangerous situations, while the guys back at base try to figure out a way to stop the stuff from happening. This time around, we're saddled with the ruggedly dependable Casper Van Dien, still recognisable from his STARSHIP TROOPERS days. He's the hero, given able support by Michael Beach as the 'back at base' guy, but unfortunately the rest of the cast are rubbish and the script seems entirely full of annoying characters, the worst of whom is Van Dien's son.The characters end up running the usual gamut of weather phenomenon, and there's yet another one of those ludicrous scenes in which a car is supposed to be spinning through the air while the actors pretend to be thrown about inside it. Sadly, there just isn't much of interest here even for disaster fans; a handful of fun scenes and that's about it. My favourite bit is the DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE-inspired flooding tunnel, but the rest of the production is let down by appalling production values and a resolutely dull script despite the excitement inherent in the premise.
carlesmiquel This film amasses all the no-no's in just one pack. Terrible ideas. Fascinating non-believable characters. Ultra-mega-super-duper powers that not even combining X-Men, Superman, Iron Man, Spiderman, Juno, The Moone Boy, Beowolf, The Thundercats and The Addams Family all in unison would have.A veritable piece of crap with no ideas, no photography or effects skills, no plausible anything (emotions, physics, script, time line, camera use, animations). The music "sounds" pretty good anyway. Cymbals and percussions are all-pervasive.I'd really love to have the same money to make something simple, with actors or people without skills but believable... and with a story to tell, to move. The one point I give to this whateveryouwanttocallit is just because they made it. It's a class on its own of what -if you're in the filmmaking industry, should never do.
info-919-717897 I LOVE cheesy disaster movies, in fact I pretty much watch any old sh*t very happily indeed, but this left me speechless, and at times roaring with laughter, I challenge any human being of whatever age to become engrossed. There's a lot of mysterious things going on in this film, including a surprise attack which involves a large amount of slapping, some exploding people caused by weather, a big beam of something, a meltdown - which I'm not sure happened or not - some absolutely stand-out scientific and technical dialog, a New Word, a man playing a guitar in a burning forest, LOTS of other random stuff and it all revolves around this totally weird family who have to stop it all by triangulating their mobile phones (forgive me if I got this wrong, its a best guess). The acting, dialog, special effects/CGI, the story-line, the directing, the script and the editing reach new pinnacles of awfulness. It has to be seen really.
benjamin-j-bivins I hope you don't have the misfortune of ever seeing this awful film! if you have I hope the bleeding in your eyes stops soon. as for me I have irreparable brain damage and will now spend the rest of my life in a mental institution. There are made up words "Hypercane" spell check does not like that one. the annoying sound track is the worst pile of crap i have ever had to listen to. and whats with the slow motion every time there is a close up or when they run thru water is that necessary. apparently the stability of the "Core " depends on the weather. well its raining somewhere in the world guess the core is going critical. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this one
