Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies Audience Reviews

Console best movie i've ever seen.
Jonah Abbott There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
Brenda The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
Deanna There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.
wes-connors After a decapitating introduction, we switch to what we later learn is young Abraham Lincoln. The future US President is chopping wood. Next, he chops off his mother's head. This is because Mrs. Lincoln has become a snarling zombie, with a very long tongue. Quite likely, she wants to eat young Abe. You did not know this, but when he was a mere boy of nine in Indiana, President Lincoln battled zombies. Many years later, during the American Civil War, zombies are infecting both United and Confederate State citizens. Grown up and knowledgeable about the zombie affliction, President Bill Oberst Jr. (as Abraham "Abe" Lincoln) must sharpen his blade...This looks like writer-director Richard Schenkman and his producers caught the buzz surrounding the attention-getting "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" (2012) and rushed this similarly-titled story out to scare unsuspecting viewers. It's frighteningly bad. In the leading role, Mr. Oberst often reads his lines with the tones necessary to maintain some dignity. Sometimes, he seems like the rest of the cast; confused about what their characters are supposed to be doing from line to line, and from scene to scene. Jason Vail has the most interesting part. Presidential girlfriend Baby Norman (as Mary Owens) and her likewise sexy daughter look laughably anachronistic.** Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies (5/29/12) Richard Schenkman ~ Bill Oberst Jr., Baby Norman, Jason Vail, Don McGraw
Claire Weinstein Useful for the zombie lovers of all ages. I took my seven year old sister and she adored the actors in the familiar Savannah area where we live! Definitely good for the faint of heart zombie fans! There are some things to be noted: 1) Directors did a good job in keeping this focused not on the gore, but on some history as well(such as Lincoln, Booth, etc.)2) Make-up is extraordinary on the zombies, such as the blood 3) FINALLY a movie with no cussing I enjoyed the film, so will the other viewers who are crazy for history and historic people/places!ONE MORE NOTE: Did I mention this takes place at Fort Pulaski National Monument???
Origins Let me just say that the movie isn't good, its not even close to good.I have seen Asylum Films before, I've seen Alien Vs Avatar (1/10) and Nazis At The Center Of The Earth (2/10). And that being said i didn't have much expectations for Abraham Lincoln Vs Zombies, but i was surprised!I mean how can you not enjoy a movie where ABRAHAM LINCOLN CHOPS ZOMBIES HEADS OFF WITH AN SICKLE? Also it was technically much more advanced than the other Asylum Films, for example there actually was color correction and even decent green screens. Also acting wasn't even decent(Guy playing Lincoln was close to decent)but it was an improvement from previous Asylum Films. I Admit that the second half was a bit boring, but i liked the film for what it is...Acting: 4/10 Effects: 5/10 Action: 5/10 Story: 3/10 Overall an 5/10
skoyles I represent a sizable minority of motion picture viewers - until "Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies" I had never seen a zombie movie. I had caught the unavoidable snippets on television but that was all. It looked disgusting to me. It still does, but when a good friend loaned me "Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies" because of my odd interest in 19th century Noth American history I decided to watch it. This 'alternatative history' treatment of events is actually rather good and would have been better without the zombie gore but then it would have been a different movie. If I discount my disgust with zombies there was much to admire in this film. The actor playing Lincoln did an excellent job. The role of General Jackson caught the man's character and, while his death in our time line was sad in the movie's it was a credit the that devout Christian man. The surprising ending was quite superb but what most struck me was the unobtrusive and lovely music in the background. Of course the movie is flawed by it's low budget but it is far better than many more costly productions.
