All Through the House Audience Reviews

Mjeteconer Just perfect...
ThrillMessage There are better movies of two hours length. I loved the actress'performance.
Lollivan It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Jakoba True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.
homecoming8 "All Through The House" is hardly original and in fact a homage to the early 80's slasher area. The story combines elements from classic horror films like "Prom Night" and "Sleepaway Camp" and is the best Santa Slasher next to the classic cult film "Silent Night Deadly Night". The acting varies from average to good, especially the 'final girl' character is well played. The killer's look is eerie what also can be said about the score, the music works well and delivers during the suspenseful scenes. In this day and age we're 'treated' with bogus and godawful CGI effects but not this time: the special effects are prosthetic and done without any CGI and come off realistic: brutal, bloody, gory and over the top. They remind you of films like "The Prowler", "Hatchet" and the early "Friday the 13th" films. There's no Tom Savini at work here but some effects come close. Many copycat slasher after "Friday" and "Halloween" had lousy and cheap effects but here you get your money's worth. If you like those films, be sure to check this one out. It will never be a classic, but a nice addition to the genre.
prettypistol-30377 It's movies like this why I love independent horror. The lead actress did such a great job. I usually don't like the female lead in lower budget horror films cause i find the acting can be a bit distracting. Ashley Mary Nunes did an amazing job. If she was playing the lead role in Rob Zombies movies i'd actually be able to sit through one of his films. I sure hope we get to see her in more horror films. This movie deserves an audience. I've never taken the time to write a review on any movie. But I know a film like this needs word of mouth. Everyone involved in this movie deserves this movie to be seen. I think with the right amount of coverage they could get a bigger budget for upcoming films and do something special. I would love it if we got a sequel in the future. Or even something like Evil Dead 2. Evil Dead 2 was more of an updated high budget version of Evil Dead. Ashley would have to be in it of coarse.
sandy "All Through The House" definitely delivers the main setup of a classic slasher film and the actress Ashley (plays Rachel) gives a great performance. The writing and production is executed well with cohesiveness right to the end and the payoff is a strong one. Mixed in with a great psychological thriller, will there be blood? Hell yeah, there's BLOOD. Who doesn't like sexy men and women slashed to pieces, and some of the pieces are penile and breast bits, while having laugh out loud moments where the director (Todd Nunes) has enough masterfulness to mixed them effectively. After all, this is a slasher Christmas movie so it delivers horror with bloody festivities. The previous review was taking themselves too seriously. Get over yourself, you ain't no Roger Ebert. Haters gonna hate. If you want to be genuinely entertained with bloody, sexy, thriller, production value, acting, then this has it all.
dcarsonhagy Oh brother. All these new films trying to pay "homage" to slasher films of the 80s...NEED TO STOP! "All through the House" is no exception. As in the same vein of those films, the director, writer, producer-- whomever--decided all they need for a movie was a lot of boobs, fake blood, over the top not-so-special effects, and dialogue that has to be heard to be believed. It would seem that in this part of California, it's hot one minute and then cold enough to snow the next. Every family has a potty-mouth for a grandmother. The only conversation between any married couple or dating partners goes something like this, "Hey babe. Are you feeling frisky?" Then it's time for the woman to prance around in some sort of sexy undergarments, pose in a provocative (nudge/nudge, wink/wink) manner, then get offed while her husband is made penis- less. The film TRIED (but miserably failed) to tell a story, but the director was too busy selling the T & A aspect of this film to try to keep the film on track. It is lacking in any originality, borrowing heavily from "Sleepaway Camp" and the last redo of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre." If you cannot figure out what is going on before the final *gasp* "reveal," you need to turn in your Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew badges.Unrated for constant boobage, castrations, penis dismemberment, language, and nudity.
