American Satan Audience Reviews

Matrixiole Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.
AnhartLinkin This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.
Humbersi The first must-see film of the year.
Brenda The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
rayvenrenai-622-33003 I'm not a rock n roll fan. Just seeing the trailer I thought this movie was going to be good. I came into the movie open-minded. I learned from this movie is rock n roll/heavy metal is related to the devil. The movie is about Johnny and his bandmates moves to Hollywood in hopes of becoming stars. After arriving to Hollywood, A creepy old man offered them a deal. They have to sacrifice someone to seal the deal. Johnny is skeptical about sacrificing someone but he feels its the only thing he can do to save his mom who has cancer. Things starts to go great but he eventually finds himself participating in drugs, violence, and sex. The movie ends with the devil (creepy old guy) telling him. His next act is to shoot a mentally old man on stage during their performance. He refuses but he sees his mother is dating the devil. The curtains are opening, johnny is on stage with the gun to his head, and the devil standing next to him. Johnny kills the mentally unstable man which lands him in jail. While in jail, his ex forgives him and will be by his side. He now is represented by the best lawyer in LA. Movie ends. The movie basically summed up what many people believe about the music industry and the devil. If you want to be famous then you have to sell to your soul. I think this movie had potential to be good with better actors and a better script. The script was all over the place.
rob-ert-p So as I am watching this movie I found my self asking what would I do if was in this situation. And honestly that is what I look for when I watch anything from Movies to TV Shows. I want to put myself in that situation. Was the movie so good that it should be put up for awards. No. The writing was weak in some areas and lacked in others. Some of the actors and actresses seemed to just be there for the check and not really into their roles. With all this bad why should you watch this movie? The sound track mostly honestly. If you are a metal head or rocker you are going to possibly enjoy this flick. It keeps this film going. The lows are when the music is not going and you are not dove straight into this environment that is their depiction of hard rocker life style. I give this a 5 because its not like I wouldn't watch this at all. It is average and this should be a straight to blueray/dvd movie.
sashaajackson Honestly over all this movie was better then I expected. I loved the cast and how well they protrude their part. The dialogue was a little funky tho and the plot was kinda confusing. Anyways I would recommend this movie.
johnfaverino I've been a metal-head since I first heard Black Sabbath; so I can't say my review won't be biased, but this movie was phenomenal. I've never been a fan of Black Veil Brides or Andy Beirsack before watching this film, however I can safely say that his performance along with the other casts simply blew me away. Whilst there were moments of typical cliches, American Satan captures the essence of heavy metal LA, and more specifically The Rainbow; which has served as a home base for head bangers around the globe. Thank you American Satan for re-embracing the world of rock and roll in more than an audio medium for the masses to indulge.
