Armitage III: Poly Matrix Audience Reviews

Pacionsbo Absolutely Fantastic
TrueHello Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
AshUnow This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
Loui Blair It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.
John Doe Armitage III is a classic cyberpunk anime film featuring the voices of Elizabeth Berkley as Naomi Armitage and Kiefer Sutherland as Ross Sylibus. I found the anime movie to be more interesting them the OVA series. This is the story of a woman named Naomi Armitage who is a Third (an android) who teams up with a cop named Ross to bring down a man named D'Anclaude who is destroying the Thirds. Will she succeed? The animation is amazing and the Geneon DVD was one of the first to feature THX Digitally Mastered sound. The story is really interesting and is told well. There is no Japanese language track but that's OK. I enjoyed this version more due to the voice cast. I give Armitage III: Polymatrix a 7/10.
georgeballard The other Armitage movies I watched are also excellent, and this one did not let me down. This is a good mix of story, human emotion, animation, and action. It is always a good thing to see an emotional story that's not overshadowed by the animation or the action. This movie has just the right mix, in my opinion. All of the characters from the good guys and the little girl, to those characters "on the side lines", and even the bad guy(s), seem very believable to the point of realistic... if of course, you buy into the futuristic high-tech gadgets and equipment. On second thought, some of the high-tech stuff is not all that futuristic. Those who do not like this movie are perhaps over-analyzing, rather than enjoying the ride.
Arielle Here's why: Armitage is awesome!!She's soo totally in-your-face Ross is kinda good looking for a cartoon character. It keeps you thinking & questioning things all the way through. It's got everything a great show needs: corruption, murder, romance, mystery, suspense,Great fight scenes,Cool outfits.....need I go on?? The ending rocks.
OberonBob I hate to make a comment on this movie, as I just watched the obviously butchered movie version. I have not seen the original version, and I can see some signs of greatness in the chopped to pieces version I saw, but over all it was a huge mess. no pacing, no plot cohesiveness, bad dubbing. Do yourself a favor, and watch the original 4 tape version, it has to be better than this crap. Now, if I can just find a copy of it.
