fritzgagi In Alien vs Hunter a washed-out T.C Boyle like writer and a group of other bleak characters get in the crossfire of a fight between the title-giving Alien and Hunter. While the two extraterrestrial species fight each other, the innocent humans are in danger of becoming their war victims. In other words: The Asylum made a blatant rip-off of the Alien vs. Predator franchise.The monsters look like they're done by a 7-year old playing around with Windows Movie Maker, there's a constant, annoying tone of yellow throughout the movie and the cast of characters is shallow and boring enough to guarantee you to never feel any sense of dread. Even if the movie cared enough about its characters to make us worry about them, there would still be no sense of dread: The supposedly epic battle between the Alien and the Predator .. I mean Hunter, is boring, soulless and just downright insulting to every movie monster battle ever. Of course, B-Movies are there to deliver cheesy lines, bad monsters and sloppy special effects but there is no love here. Passionate B-Movie filmmakers can make up for a lack of budget by putting heart into their stuff. The Asylum in contrary seem to have set themselves the task of making the most lazy movie possible. There's not one good line and not one gory scare. The only thing it offers is a warning to never ever watch an Asylum film again.

buffycor This film is so bad: script, editing, set, props, camera angle, acting, costume, characters - the list is seemingly endless, that it is strangely entertaining. It's clearly a (bad) rip-off of the Alien v Predator franchise to start with, but that is the very least of this film's crimes. It gets worse. The Hunter's costume is so poor, he looks like some idiot you'd see at Memorabilia or Comic Con. You know, the ones that think they look cool... The Alien's getup is diverse from the alien we all know (and love) enough to be unique(ish). But it's still terrible. I would say, "Watch this film if you want a laugh", or if you want a lesson in how NOT to make a film (or act, for that matter). If I could kick my own ass for buying it, I would.

Wendy Black (wendylblack) I my opinion this movie "screams" awful from the moment you read the title. Then when you see William Katt got the lead role it is just begging for a quick death. Men in rubber suits and poor effects is the least of this movie's worries. The dialog and overall script was written by monkeys. No that would be insulting to monkeys.For example, in one scene an actor expresses concern that his wife is "out there" with the aliens. So his very next suggestion is they should all stay put and fortify they would stand a better chance to survive.Another scene the lead played by Katt says he knows a safe route. Next you know he is getting another cast member killed off in the sewars tunnels.People insist it is a bear attacking even though they have seen a giant spider creature. After all we all know about those 8 legged bears. Throughout the entire movie we are beaten over the head with cliché dialog and banter about what would be the next best idea or route to take or which missing person to save.Early on in the picture a black girl wants to find her mama but Katt wants her to take the car and be safe. The dialog is stereotypical and pointless. Then there is the disgruntle local hunter who has a grudge against Katt's character for writing a bad review about him. I don't know many hunters who care much about newspaper reviews.Well the movie aired as the Sunday afternoon movie on the SyFy channel and I just felt it needed to be said, this movie is truly awful.

lookatpie the only reason i would give this a 1 star is because there were parts of this movie that made me laugh because of how bad they were, like in one part the whole cast of 8 people (if that) are in the woods fighting the hunter and one of them gets knocked down and then is falling down a hill which came from nowhere. in one scene early on a guy is looking for a working cell phone, which 1st someone in the room is texting or something with a phone 2nd he pulls a phone out of his pocket later. this has the worst scenery, special effects, costumes, acting, script etc. i have ever seen. I've seen videos on youtube that a higher quality camera than this,and higher budgets and better acting. there was a part where i saw a fog machine on a shelf. many of the scenes were in one part, seriously there are 3 places i can think of that this was shot at. i thought it was supposed to be a knock off of AVP but the hunter looks like a samuri warrior or something and the alien looks the same but with spider legs. o have i explained the ending where the hunter takes off his mask and its a human! i can continue to warn you of all the evils of movie but there is just so much to explain. overall this movie is the worst movie i have ever seen... ever nothing is worse than this.
