Berserker: Hell's Warrior Audience Reviews

Bereamic Awesome Movie
Onlinewsma Absolutely Brilliant!
Jacomedi A Surprisingly Unforgettable Movie!
Merolliv I really wanted to like this movie. I feel terribly cynical trashing it, and that's why I'm giving it a middling 5. Actually, I'm giving it a 5 because there were some superb performances.
Leofwine_draca BERSERKER: HELL'S WARRIOR is an ultra-cheesy historical-action-science-fiction B-movie. That's a hell of a combination, and the fact that it was made in South Africa just adds to the whole weirdness of the thing. The DVD case sells this as a straightforward gritty historical war flick along the lines of the VIKINGS TV series but it turns out to be a thoroughly cheesy B-movie masquerading as such. And, truth be told, it's a pretty poor show. The narrative attempts to invoke some Norse mythology involving Odin and the other gods but in the end this turns into an unholy cross between HIGHLANDER and the Hong Kong flick THE ICEMAN COMETH. The first half which is set in the Viking camp is by far the worst, committing the cardinal sin of being cheesy and boring at the same time, but things do improve a little in the second. Be warned, throughout the movie you'll be exposed to some of the poorest over-acting you'll see in a movie. We're treated to the spectacle of a couple of warring brothers travelling to the present day where their battles continue. The CGI effects are pretty awful, it has to be said, and you wonder why the likes of Patrick Bergin and Kari Wuhrer are present, although at least the latter disrobes frequently to distract the viewer. There's a little gore thrown into the mix, along with the unwise decision to include some vampire stuff (as if it wasn't enough of a mixed bag to begin with), but overall the extremely poor production values make this one hell of a mess.
sozzals This entire film made no sense whatsoever. The plot? What plot? It was all an array of confusing words and scenes. What me and my partner remember about the film:There was a viking battle then they were in a mental ward, then the bear men attacked a night club for some reason and thats pretty much when we got lost. Some immediate questions arose from the whole film, including: why were they in a night club? why were the guys in the 21st century still wearing bear hats? why were all the women in the film vampires for no reason? why bear hats when the king was called boar? who was the old man! why was there a 20 minute journey to have a small conversation why was he in a cell and also chained up to the ceiling?Good film to laugh at when you're stoned though.I tried to watch it to the end, really I did. The hilarity was just too much though.
Kuchen Gnom Beside the fact, that in all it's awesomeness this movie has risen beyond all my expectations, this masterpiece of cinema history portrait the overuse of crappy filters in it's best! Paul Johansson and Craig Sheffer show a brotherconflict with all there is to it. As usual a woman concieling her true intentions. The end came as surprising as unforssen as the killing of Keith Scott by his older brother. The scenes in 'wiking land' are just as I remember it from my early time travels. - To be honest my strong passion for trash movies makes this one a must have in my never finished collection.I recommend this movie to all the people in love with the most awesome brother cast from One Tree Hill.-Odin-
