Blood Lake Audience Reviews

Ehirerapp Waste of time
ReaderKenka Let's be realistic.
MusicChat It's complicated... I really like the directing, acting and writing but, there are issues with the way it's shot that I just can't deny. As much as I love the storytelling and the fantastic performance but, there are also certain scenes that didn't need to exist.
Zandra The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
dullfinboy I really hated this movie. It seemed like a home made movie. The acting sucked, the effects were awful, and the story sucked. The movie was extremely boring. I was waiting for something to happen for most of the movie. The plot was not interesting enough. It was mostly talking and stupid things they did. The killer was dumb and uninteresting. It was painful to watch. The kills were mild. They wee bloody but the bad effects took and enjoyment out of it. The music sucked and the characters were idiots. I hated them. It was not suspenseful. It was just terrible. They seemed like jerks and they were annoying. The women were not very attractive and the boys were ugly. One of the worst.
svaldivia84 OK so I can agree with the other comment about the lake scene, yes it is like 15 min long. Also In the beginning for the opening scene for the credits all they show is the trans am driving on the road for like 10 or 15 min. That is way too long for a opening act! I mean yeah we get the point that there is a trans am with kids going to a lake. The killings in the movie are a big disappointment, all it is, is a guy walking around in cowboy boots. The acting is horrible and the movie is a big waist of time. I am a HUGE fan of the 80's slasher films, especially Friday the 13th. They even filmed it with a home video, so the lighting was horrible and was very shaky. Well I'd say I have to give it at least a 1 out of 10, for being part of the 80's slasher genre for at least trying. I just hope that they don't ever make a movie like this again.
Mike L. Properelli (MLProperelli) "Blood Lake" is one of those movies that has to be seen to be believed. I had already seen this a few years ago and have finally gotten the chance to review it. But in my review, I was wondering if I should judge it on camp value (like Plan 9 From Outer Space) or just on its own merits in terms of film-making style. I decided on the later, since this was purely painful. If there were words in the Webster's dictionary that could describe how much I hated this movie, I would definitely use them. However, there are not. The acting is horrid across the board. There are long sequences in which absolutely nothing happens (when I say "nothing" I mean nothing). Apparently, the filmmakers felt that the viewers could watch the characters playing cards for 45 minutes. It was more like 10 minutes, but it felt like 45. At any rate, a scene of characters playing cards (without some significance to the plot, in this case there was none) shouldn't last longer than 30 seconds. That scene was particularly frustrating (thank God for picture-on-picture) but the rest of the movie wasn't any better. The heavy metal soundtrack particularly made me laugh, mainly because it reminded me of the horrendous 80s rock.
fanqarm This is only the 2nd horror flick shot with video that I've seen, theother being Phantom Brother. And I thought that that was bad. Don'tcheck this out whatever you do! Anyone who reads this can easily get a group of friends togetherand make a video that is 20 times better than this. seriously! And who was the person who said that this was better than TheLast Slumber Party?! That was a work of art! I thought it would be equally as good, seeing how they were bothfrom 1987. the coolest thing about the movie is a shot of the moonthat lasts 3 seconds. the worst thing about the movie is a quickshot of the tiniest spider, during a murder.
