Bratz Audience Reviews

Inmechon The movie's only flaw is also a virtue: It's jammed with characters, stories, warmth and laughs.
Arianna Moses Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.
Derrick Gibbons An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.
Cheryl A clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.
sagequirk This was by the far the most exhilarating movie of 2007. Forget about Transformers, The Bee Movie, Alvin and the Chipmunks, and Spider-man 3-- this movies tops them ALL. tony-68180 Look, obviously this movie isn't the "best" of all the movies that are available in the world. However, to a young teenager, they would have a very different perspective towards it. I'm a guy and currently in college right now. I first saw this movie as a class (we voted for a movie on the last day of sixth grade in 2008 and Bratz won, so we saw it) back in elementary school and I must admit that I enjoyed it very much. True, many may question the movie's message, but in many ways I see that it does project a positive message. Throughout the movie, the four Bratz girls (Chloe, Jade, Sasha, and Yasmin) meet events that challenge their friendship. However, they make it through putting their friendship as a priority. This delivers a very important message to young teenagers/tweens that they should always learn to maintain friendships and set how to aside their differences.Another important message the movie delivers is basically how to stand up for yourself. It's very important that children in their pre- teens know this as it is very possible that they will also face similar issues once they head into highschool.Lastly, this movie wasn't intended for adults or the "general audience". It was directed towards preteens/young teens in general. Many teenagers at that time (myself included) were very interested on "what high school is going to be like". Therefore to them, this movie would be very enjoyable.
hishirey This movie is insulting to anyone with an IQ that isn't low enough to trip over. The racial stereotypes were abundant with this one, including a mariachi band in the kitchen of a Mexican, a dumb blonde, and a smart Asian. The plot is 4 vapid teenagers struggling with materialism and narcissism in high school. Oh, did I mention that it includes a deaf boy who can somehow hear his crush singing? Yay for continuity! If you can get past the fact that the movie is completely predictable, it is for 2 year olds after all, you might find yourself able to enjoy the stupidity of the film. Adults will definitely enjoy the predatory 16 year old boy that seems to make advances on an 11 year old every chance he gets. Acting this bad is worthy of prison time for the mental deterioration it causes all its viewers. Unless you want your child to be mentally and emotionally stunted, I would keep them as far away from this film as possible. This film will kill your soul and your brain cells.
mechamortal20 I was kind of forced to watch this when my girlfriend played it on our TV and I must say, I'm kind of angry at this movie. Just like all the other high-school movies, this movie is crammed with clichés to the teeth. There's the typical overwhelmingly snobby girl villain who suffers from severe narcissistic personality disorder who rules the school, implementing a segregating social caste system within it. The unrealistically active and thriving high school with people partying all over campus as if class never starts for them, and kids who care if four girls are sitting together at a table. All of these movies always depict this type of high school activity, yet I've never been to school where one beautiful girl calls the shots for the entire school. The cliché of the popular girl trying to bring down the main character because she shows a sign of not giving a damn who she is. The glorification of being materialistic is too much, as this seems to be a trait of every female in the movie. None of these girls are really separable in terms of personality besides the "villain".
