Cayman Went Audience Reviews

Steineded How sad is this?
HeadlinesExotic Boring
Voxitype Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.
Zandra The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
davidliff Nice movie, great underwater shots, beautiful views of Caymen Islands, Great cast. Simple story. Nice family movie. There are only a few basic stories in life, and this movies sticks to the format. Is a sweet story, but the value is in the images and cast. If you like the caymen islands then you will love this movie.Simple story of guys career, coasting, gets a offer from the mean old property mogal to sell his soul for a boost in his career. What can he do by take the offer, find the girl of his dreams and meet interesting people on the way, and of course make a choice or two.Heart warming, safe for children.
MataHariNYC I am a chick who tends to avoid joyful, non-violent films but I did and would again and again make an exception for Cayman Went.I saw Cayman Went at the AMC Empire 25 in Times Square over the weekend and am going back to see it again tonight. There is something so intriguing to me about this film. The story follows the hottie hero Michael Lombardi who is a flailing TV star on the brink of losing his show. He is solicited by the magnate who owns the network to convince some Cayman Brac locals to sell their land to the magnate for development in to a mega-resort. After spending some time with the locals, our hero hooks into the island lifestyle and learns a lot about himself and those around him along the way.The serenity of the Cayman Brac beaches, the underwater landscapes, the eye-catching hero and the chemistry he has with the female lead, the charisma of Jeffrey Demunn, the adorableness of the film's child star, the upbeat soundtrack, the subtle message of the film...it somehow all comes together for me.Enjoy!
BigfootNY I saw this indie film in New York with family and a few friends over the weekend and we all enjoyed it. The island and underwater diving scenes were gorgeous and the acting from the "Rescue Me" guy, Jeff DeMunn (also loved him in Citizen X and all the Stephen King ones), and the rest of the cast was solid and pleasant. Everyone laughed in spots and almost everyone teared up watching parts of it too. My wife and I also liked the subtle environmental message it sends to kids and developers alike. After seeing the movie I can say I would love to live on that island or at least hang out there and scuba dive with the locals (time to renew my certification I guess).
Quinnie110 Cayman Went is a great, feel-good movie for audiences of all ages. The scenery is stunning and will have you wanting to jump on a plane and head directly to the Caymans. The characters are likable (and you may even find amusement from a few quirky "locals"). I took a special interest in the environmental message in the film, which, in a World where people are so environmentally conscious these days, it's overall message is "on point.". You will laugh....you may even cry a bit (if you are an emotional person), but in the end you will leave the theater smiling and feeling good about the film and maybe even man-kind in general. It will have you believing that there are still good, compassionate people out there. There really is something in this film for everyone!
