Come and Find Me Audience Reviews

Salubfoto It's an amazing and heartbreaking story.

nammage Aaron Paul plays a man named David who is in love with a girl named Claire played by Annabelle Wallis.. Claire isn't who she says she is, and David is just a regular guy. Claire disappears from David's life. She didn't 'disappear', she left David without telling him thus the title of the film is incorrect because she never asks, leaves clues (she does leave something behind but David wasn't necessarily supposed to find it) or anything telling David to find her; he does that on his own because he can't seem to get over her, i.e. he can't let go. I've read reviews on this film that the poster is misleading in that the character of David is holding a gun. If you zoom it in, the guy holding the gun is clean shaven and wearing a suit, and the character of David has a beard and I don't remember ever seeing him in a suit in this film. The guy holding the gun on the poster is more likely the character John Hall played by Garret Dillahunt, the antagonist. Though, one could stipulate there are many antagonists in this film. Claire is either an assassin, or gov't agent, or something...I forget; doesn't matter: she's the one who can fight and handle a gun which was a huge surprise to David and why wouldn't it be? Usually it's the other way around so it's a nice change of pace for it being a young 20 something girl who seems to love photography but seems to be a 'bad girl' who can kick some butt. The flashbacks didn't bother me, also if one noticed: things that seemed off to him in his relationship with her seems to now make some sense to him and that she could actually be this person he wishes or doesn't want to believe to be true, is confirmed to him in the varying flashbacks. It would have bothered me if there was narration. That would have been awful, or slow motion scenes. Sometimes with first time directors that's the sort of stuff they use. Glad none of that was in it. It progressed pretty well, could have been faster in some scenes and slower in others but it was overall fine. It, I felt, was a little above average but not great. It sort of gets redundant in parts, and with some minor clichés throughout.Overall, it's worth a watch. It's not bad. May have done well in theaters during a quiet month but whatever...
Mihai Toma An ordinary web designer suffers a great tragedy when his love disappears suddenly and without any trace. Although very affected, he decides to start searching for her, even though clues are seldom, to say the least. What he's about to find, on the other hand, will make him question everything, while the connections he makes are much deeper and frightening that he could have ever imagined. It's a movie which tries to present a deep mystery about a woman who disappears out of nowhere and her lover who's determined to do whatever it takes to find out what happened to her. Although very promising in terms of ideas, the implementation it choppy, and this is to not make it sound bad. The plot alternates from past to present multiple times in an attempt to convince the audience of the strong relationship the two had before the incident, but unfortunately it's not very credible. And it doesn't stop here. It tells a series of events which are quite incoherent and leave a lot of questions unanswered. To make matters worse, the finale is very inconclusive, leaving the viewer to imagine what he wants, instead of trying to end the story, let alone explaining what actually happened. While the actors were trying to play their characters as good as they could, the dialog didn't help them, being very simplistic and sometimes even irritating, tending to repeat the obvious, over and over again.Unfortunately, we are facing a below average movie, which had a very interesting premise, but decided to keep the main information for itself, introducing characters out of nowhere without even bothering to tell something about them and concluding the entire plot in a very unsatisfying way. It's almost like they ran out of inspiration
ritera1 The love story and opening scene were charming and all. But there was one ridiculous element after another. They love each other. Then the girl mysteriously disappears. Very sad. But then the boyfriend finds the hidden photos. In the end we find out that she's was some kind of spy who left photographic "insurance" buried in her garden. Granted, electronic copies along with the paper copies and negatives. Negatives? Really? And one copy electronically on a zip drive. I have multiple copies of my stuff on various drives, down to my short films, various photos and my mp3s. But this deadly spy left behind ONE copy. ONE. And what is the photos that are so important. One of the bad guy spy, but not of his face. That is her insurance. And who is this lady brilliant spy? One who leaves behind a volume of photographic leads to her former lives. Not just with her last boyfriend, but the boyfriend before that. And she apparently went on her Los Angeles spy missions on the bus.And I'm lost why the black partner of the lady spy took a year to come back and search for those photos. The very funny element that was when the boyfriend packed his bag, along with a handgun and a hammer. He was then allowed to board a plane with that very bag, as he then had both when he arrived in Canada from Los Angeles. (Nevermind the fact that the car he stole off his attacker and then subsequently used later in the movie would have easily been found via GPS.)I was also lost when the boyfriend was walking in the street of that empty Canadian neighborhood from "something" to that house. He took a big wad of cash off that guy. He couldn't afford a cab?So, in the end, I didn't care what happened to both of them when they tried their Butch and Sundance routine instead of waiting a few minutes for the cops to show up from all the commotion.
jscotta-83309 You will have a hard time watching this movie without loosing interest. I would highly recommend this movie just before bed when you are trying to get sleepy. You'll laugh (at the movie) you'll cry, (if you spend money on this movie) and you'll question why?? (you just wasted two hours of your life.
