Dragon Ball Z: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan Audience Reviews

Ensofter Overrated and overhyped
Invaderbank The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.
Paynbob It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
Marva It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
John Doe The story for this film that a man who's name is Paragus has tricked Vegeta and Goku to going to a planet called 'New Vegeta' only it is a trap so Paragus's son Broly can kill Goku. This is the most violent of the Dragon Ball Z movies, hence the Japanese title. The FUNimation English dub features rock bands such as Slow Roosevelt and Haji's Kitchen. This film has a lot of action, and a good story. Both sets of voice actors do a good job with their characters. This is a worthy DBZ movie for your collection.I give Broly The Legendary Super Saiyan a 8/10
jake-law123 Out of all the Dragon Ball Z movies, Bojack, Cooler, Lord Slug eka. This one tops them all. The Legendary Super Saiyan Broly, and epic that will get you pumped up from beginning to end. Broly is without a doubt the most bada** movie villain in DBZ. Three movies to honor his coolness.A saiyan named Paragus arrives on Earth for Vegeta, and takes him to a planet to be honored the new king of Saiyans. It turns out that his son, named Broly, is the Legendary super saiyan, and becomes an unstoppable monster that, for a variety of the film, kicks the crap out of the Z warriors.Seriously, most of the film is set around Broly killing everybody, which, although gets a little repetitive, also gets amazingly awesome and intense. Broly is ridiculously monstrous, and is the most bada** DBZ movie villain ever! Its about a full length-ed movie too, unlike the others, which gives more room for conflicts. The best of the Broly series by far, even though its just him beating everybody around. What I disliked about it was Vegeta, who is a huge puss throughout the whole film. When Piccolo steps in, its awesome, and things really heat up. The music kicks a** as well, setting the mood for each individual fight scene. The way Broly massacres everybody is insane, crushing their heads and all kinds of crap. The title says it all, the Legendary Super Saiyan at his most monstrous.
madd_aka_ringo The narrative of this film is as follows:Good guys mess around a bit, then go to another planet to fight something. It becomes apparent that they are going to fight Broly within 5 seconds of him being on-screen.Broly looks stern.Good guys mess around a bit. Broly looks a bit angry.Good guys mess around a bit, give Broly a weak excuse to use his unsurprisingly mighty powers.Broly destroys EVERYONE.Goku wins. The film is utterly pathetic and only marginally redeemed by some stylish action, which is never varied or interesting enough to make up for an incredibly tedious build-up that lasts a good two thirds of the film. It's a shame, because had attention been devoted at any stage to actually having characters or making the (actually quite promising) story more engaging it could have been pretty entertaining - the fighting is well executed after all, even if it's entirely one sided. Sadly the whole thing is so painfully slow and laughably obvious that it's really not worth it.
nightdawndaylandofthedea This is not only my favorite Dragon Ball Z movie, but one of my favorite movies of all time. The longest and best DBZ film there is. I can't say how much I love this movie. I like the twist of how Goku isn't he first Super Sayian and is no where near strong enough to defeat Broly. Goku gets one of his biggest beatings ever. I honestly think this shouldn't have been a movie but a saga on the show. I mean the idea of a new Planet Vegeta and Vegeta the Prince is great. Also this is the first Goku villain that's held a grudge against Goku before they meet either on TV or movie. Broly's hated Goku forever. Broly sort of does that large super sayian Trunks does that slows him down but it doesn't slow Broly down. I really do love this one and recommend it 100%
