Enough Audience Reviews

Actuakers One of my all time favorites.
FuzzyTagz If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
ThedevilChoose When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
Deanna There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.
dapaah-22970 Enough, a movie that tries to portray domestic abuse faced by women around the world. This movie involves an abusive husband, a clever, protective mother and an innocent, frightened daughter. This movie showcases how powerful a mother's love can be, as can be seen by Jennifer Lopez's performance as she is seen to go so far as to train to be able to defend herself and protect her daughter from her dangerous husband. The movie was good because it was tense and did not waste any time. This movie had some exciting car chases and a few pretty good plot twists and jump scares.Overall, it is a movie that I would recommend to watch to raise awareness against abuse.
marsmitchell79 If a smaller woman wants to beat a man in a combat fight, that's how you write it and how you do it! You don't just show up and he's beaten; that would make it completely unrealistic! What's so hard to believe: 1. An abusive husband that confines his wife, but does what he wants! That happens sometimes as it does in the movie: from first major argument on, a physically abusive man might decide to lay down his ground rules right then and there! 2. Slim(J Lo) had self defense training and anyone can get that(esp. against a coward who really can't fight). I LOVED THE PART WHEN SHE PUTS RINGS AND STEELTOE BOOTS ON TO SHOW THAT SHE WAS NOT FIGHTING AN EQUAL IN THE PHYSICAL DEPARTMENT! THIS IS JUST COMMON SENSE AND, YET, SOME B-MOVIES SHOW A WOMAN KICKING/ PUNCHING A MAN AS IF HE WAS A WOMAN! THIS MOVIE DOES NOT MAKE THIS HUGE MISTAKE! ALSO, THERE IS REASON FOR HER TO ENGAGE MITCH IN A FIGHT, SINCE SHE CANNOT BEAT HIM IN A COURT OF LAW AND GRACE'S CUSTODY CASE IS COMING UP!3. Mitch(abusive husband) had connections that rich men probably do! Even if a rich man is not crooked, he has connections and finds people who love being his friend. If he is crooked, he can find the kinds of friends he needs(BECAUSE THERE IS LITTLE RISK TO HIM). He talks in code speak and--even if a mostly petty criminal(like Mitch)--he is probably not going to do any time to make him stop. If a rich man is crooked, then both he has people that love finding or feel they "HAVE" to find criminal employment and there is little risk(SINCE HE WOULD DO RARE SERIOUS CRIMES WITH THOSE--AS IN THE MOVIE--WITH THOSE THAT HE HAD SOMETHING SERIOUS ON AND, THE OTHER STUFF, HE COULD ALSO DO WITH THOSE SAME PEOPLE OR OTHERS: AND IF CAUGHT IN THE SMALL TIME STUFF, HE DOES NO TIME WORTHY OF NOTE). Again, very realistic! 4. She had escape plans and routes--as every person on the run should!5. As smart and/or wise as she is(or through her dad's connections), she can definitely learn about the simple technologies, etc. of the day that could allow her to do what she did in the movie to keep Mitch from getting help.Negatives: 1. Slim has access to too many connections: Her father has connections that rival Mitch--if not surpass or circumnavigate Mitch's connections completely! Slim got "around" even before Mitch--having an ex in Seattle without explanation and she lives someplace else. Both happening to the same poor person creates instances of coincidence in a movie where she's on the run; this is bad for this movie. They could have had J Lo researching to find someone that was well studied in fighting techniques and stealing from Mitch or his mother to get money. 2. When she is on the run, there is a lull in activity there!
lisafordeay I have been a fan of Jennifer Lopez since 1999, and I saw her in a lot of movies from Monster In Law,to Maid In Manhattan, heck I even seen Angel Eyes and that was good.Enough is a 2002 thriller starring Jennifer Lopez and it tells the story of a hardworking waitress named Slim who got tangled up with some guy who was hitting on her, while a handsome man played by Billy Campbell saves her from the guy that was hitting on Slim(and this all happened really quick BTW). First she met the guy at the café/diner where she worked, than she got married to him and then she had a CHILD with him all in the 15 minute intro into the film. But as Slim thinks that her marriage to Campbell's charcther is a life full of bliss,it all turns sour when he starts hitting her violently, forcing her to take her daughter and go on the run,but when he catches up with her again, she goes to San Francisco and Michigan where in one of her trips on the run she meets a former friend of her's called Joe and changes her name to Erin. But as she is enjoying her new life with a new identity and hairdo will her psychopath husband find her and will she be able to fight back and get rid of him from her life altogether?Bottom line I seen this twice before but I forgot it and I seen it again a few days ago for the second time and quite frankly it wasn't a bad movie. The acting was good, the story was good and the climax at the end was also great. My main issue with this film is the beginning where it says HEY ENOUGH,TO HAVE AND TO HOLD,RUN ETC. Overall I'm giving it a 6.
dierregi Yesterday I watched this movie on TV. I was tired and I just wanted to relax. Even if I knew it had a bad reputation, I thought it could be fun. Unfortunately it was not. The script is awful and an insult to all battered women. In a nutshell, J.Lo plays Slim, a waitress who marries Mr. Right (and Rich) only to discover after several years of marriage that he is violent and a cheater. Some other character in the movie at a certain point states that Slim is just a dumb waitress, and he might have had a point, considering how long it took her to discover her hubby true nature… Anyway, Slim and abusive hubby have a daughter – described by other reviewers as one of the most insufferable child in the history of movies. Again, they are right. For reasons difficult to understand and even more to explain, both Slim and hubby want custody of the horrible child. Therefore, Slim has no other choice but to run away in the middle of the night, to avoid losing her precious offspring. From here, this bad plot takes a turn for the worse. Why Slim decides to run away in the middle of night, rather than by day when hubby is at work or with one of his mistresses? Again, one would say because she is dumb….After her getaway, she is surprised to find that hubby cut her bank account. Being used to a rich, pampered life, she decides to turn to her rich, estranged father, for further supply of cash. Some implausible hide and seek follows, then Slim understand that the only way to get rid of the abusive – but rich – husband is to kill him. So she goes ahead with what is nothing but a premeditated murder plan. The messages received from this movie are all negative and absurd: first, that women are kept property and always ready to sponge on someone for keeping; second, that it is OK to plan a murder if you have some good reasons (according to your point of view – of course); third, that it takes only one month of training to turn into a mix of Superwoman and a ninja killer..
