Forbidden Games Audience Reviews

Humaira Grant It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
Ariella Broughton It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.
Allison Davies The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
Paynbob It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
Dave from Ottawa A detective on disability pension is hired to investigate the death of a philanthropist whose heart attack may not have been entirely natural. His widow and former mistress seem eager to co-operate, even a little too eager, and the P.I. is slowly drawn into a web of sex and deceit, familiar territory for this sort of exercise. The difference here is that the mystery plot-line actually works fairly well and follows its own narrative logic to a reasonable conclusion. The movie also has a pretty posh look, and typically for the genre, tons of eye candy in the form of models in bikinis lounging around the agency pool. Yow! Unfortunately, the acting, scripting and pacing are about par for this type of movie - i.e. terrible - and long stretches of it can be a chore to sit through. The end came as something of a relief, not a positive comment on a movie only 85 minutes long. Fans of Son of the Beach should note that Forbidden Games features Amy Weber's only nude screen appearance to date, and that alone may give one the impulse to rent it. Try to suppress the urge.
David Brown Forbidden Games is a perfect example of a soft core film where you wonder what the point of making the thing ever was. The story is as boring and unoriginal as you can get. The acting is not anything to get excited about. The best thing I can say about the cinematography and sound editing is that there aren't any instances of glaring incompetence. But it's soft core, and all that stuff isn't supposed to matter, because we're all watching it for the great sex scenes. Right? But there are no great sex scenes! Sure it's got Amy Weber and some other attractive women, but what's the point if all they do is briefly pose for the camera and the "sex" could be more accurately described as "naked people hugging and kissing each other".This thing was made in 1995, when people were starting to figure out how soft core movies should really be done. This is not one of the movies that they figured it out with. Not recommended.
jarth-2 Forbidden Games is the worst movie I have ever seen. I wasted $34.95 CDN on it!! There is no plot, the movie is basically soft-core porn. The acting is done by what looks to be women from adult magazines. This is a totally tasteless, obscene movie, and I advise everyone to stay away from it!!
grend It's pretty evident what sort of film this is, from just the first 5 minutes. Little more than a vehicle for lots of sex and flesh, the ball gets rolling pretty quickly. The only reason I bought (yes, bought) this film in the first place was because of Amy Weber. Amy is one of the more notable models (IMHO), and well worth the price of admission.Oh, you want plot? Not much there, I'm afraid.Jeff Griggs is the "Psychic Detective" (and not a very good one). While attempting to solve a murder mystery, beautiful women keep throwing themselves at his feet, for some unknown reason. He's quite amusing, with a style of speech that reminds me of a constipated Clint Eastwood.I dare not reveal the ending, except to say that it is quite (unintentionally) funny. Can't wait for Kolobos! :)
