Fugitive Hunter Audience Reviews

Linbeymusol Wonderful character development!
GamerTab That was an excellent one.
BelSports This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Verity Robins Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.
crazyjanie I'm giving this movie a 10 because I saw it on the same night I saw THE MARKSMAN. That movie sucked major. Snipes is finished. He should be glad he had a career or something.FUGITIVE HUNTER was so much better than Marksman because it had a STORY!! Can you believe some movie makers forget to include that? I bought both films on Amazon together for a discounted price... who would have thought the cheaper looking movie would be way better? Not me.For my money (of which they already stole from me) FUGITIVE HUNTER wipes the floor with THE MARKSMAN!
TwistedIvory Normally I'm one to enjoy a mindless action movie regardless of writing, acting or directorial style. These are generally good movies to watch as entertainment in the background. Last night I queued up "Fugitive Hunter." I was disappointed. This movie didn't succeed at anything. It was too flat to have any sort of compelling drama, the action was too badly-choreographed to get any adrenalin flowing, and the movie too itself too seriously to gain any significant "camp" value. The writing and directing were not only sub-par, they were almost laughably bad. Unfortunately they weren't so bad as to inspire actual laughter, but rather only a disbelieving sidelong stare. Maybe if it's 3AM and you can't sleep and this movie is on cable it might be worth tuning in for a few minutes, but I just can't recommend spending any money on this flick.
darth_nax I'm not a big drama fan but this movie was good. Doubly so for something so low budget. Based on a true story this movie chronicles how two new bail bondsmen save their new boss and his company by uncovering corruption. It's done in a very realistic and believable way but not overly gritty a la NYPD Blue and others. And its got a healthy sense of humor. It never takes itself too seriously but doesn't make itself look silly either. The production values are low but the acting and writing are both very good. The directing could have been better but since this movie has a realistic tone to it anyway it isn't noticeable. The action sequences are decent. All in all you should watch this movie, you will not regret it.
cylmart I viewed this film privately during an acquisitions meeting in Santa Monica. I was somewhat interested in the general premise of this film but wasn't sure of how it would deliver. After a few minutes I realized that this was a gem of a micro-budget film. It follows an engaging story line that gets straight to the point, while not being obvious. The characters are unique. The dialogue is rough, but funny. The overall tone of the film follows more of a 80's action flick. Due to the film's lack of budget there are no special effects, but believe it or not it's not missed. Don't let the budget ($80k) deter you from watching this as the producers of this film stretched every dollar as far they could. The film actually looks like it could have easily cost close to $1 Million.Overall, this is great piece of film that nobody will probably watch. It's also a great learning tool for those that wish to make films on the dime. I don't know if there's going to be a commentary on the DVD or not, but it would be a good idea. I recommend this film to anyone that enjoys taking a risk on something that they normally wouldn't see.
