Girls Against Boys Audience Reviews

Aneesa Wardle The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
Calum Hutton It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...
Quiet Muffin This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.
Billy Ollie Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
Zebb67 At least the original I Spit On Your Grave knew what it was (exploitation plain and simple). This garbage tries to dress itself in artsy decor, even as it shows a young man being dismembered. But whatever you think you might be getting from this film, you won't get it. As a feminist statement...well, watch Thelma And Louise again. As exploitation, it is nowhere near as extreme as the poster art would have you believe (the one scene I described being the exception). As cathartic revenge, Death Wish this ain't. The fact that it earned a little over $6K at the box office (probably not enough to cover the catering costs during filming) proves there is no audience for this cr*p and as Dana's looks fade, the few roles she gets will quickly fade as well as she is singularly without any acting talent, exhibiting here the same vacant stare throughout the entire movie (the other lead actress is actually pretty good). I should also point out that in addition to being anti-male (well, not quite all of us), the film is also very homophobic.
warpedice This is my first review on IMDb, but I felt compelled to add my review to the others regarding this film. I started watching this movie a couple of times before I actually watched the entire film. It starts out slowly and I think that initial "slowness" caused me to stop watching. I write this, so those of you who, like me, start watching and because the movie starts off slow, just stops and chooses something else to watch. My suggestion is to sit back and allow the movie to progress, because it does pick up and you'll find yourself involved with the characters portrayed in this movie. Danielle Panabaker once again shows her versatility that really shows her talent as an actress that is one to watch in her upcoming films. However, Nicole LaLiberte, who's pretty much unknown, really shines in this movie and I really hope she gets noticed. Although this film being a low budget one, probably will not be her breakout role. I find that a real tragedy, because she really is the star in this movie and shows a depth of character and tremendous skill in acting. Yes, Nicole LaLiberte steals the show from the very talented Danielle Panabaker. She is why I felt compelled to add my review to the others in this film. If your interested in seeing new young stars emerge, then you must see this film. Miss LaLiberte is one I will be watching for in upcoming films.Returning to the film, I don't want to give anything away in this film. All I want to relay to you as potential viewers is, if you find yourself starting to change the channel at the beginning, pause for a moment, and give this little gem a chance. I think you'll find it worthwhile. It takes you on a journey you're unlikely to forget and leaves you thinking about what the journey this film has taken you.
kosmasp This is a revenge movie ... or is it? There might be more to it, than you first think. Of course it's also something that people might feel cheated about. Why try to make something more intellectual than it is? But it does put/shed new light on the rest of the movie. You can decide how to see or observe some of the scenes. One might say it warrants a second viewing too.The acting is solid, though we do get a few clichés thrown our way. And as stated the ending might not win you over to its cause yet. There is blood and violence and some minor nudity. There is also a very obvious hint at the beginning of the movie, that actually is followed by a flashback. Is it too smart, not smart enough? It has its flaws (emotional detachment being amongst them), but you can watch it, if you like those kind of movies (doesn't matter if you're a girl or not)
tdrish Girls Against Boys. How can you go wrong with a title like that? Young women seeking vengeance against males who don't know how to keep their sexual urges to themselves. Sounds like the ingredients for a good recipe for disaster. Unfortunately, that's what this film is...a disaster! It's main problem: the boring factor. First half hour, nothing happens, and I mean nothing. We get a brief intro that ties into the story later ( gee, I'm just dying to know what happens to the cop tied to the bed! Does he get lucky? Does he get shot with his own gun? Tune in, Tokyo! ) Thirty minutes in, and the next thirty minutes, some great stuff: Rapists men getting disposed of, exterminated, oh yeah, look at the score...women in the lead! Last half hour, well, we're right back to the boring stuff again. Summary just in: Girls Against Boys is a total bust. Granted, the acting is great, superior in fact. However, great acting can't save the lackluster script. By the time the ending credits roll, the viewer is left wondering what the hell the point to the movie was. That's the problem with films these days, they don't need a point anymore. Just slap a few scenes together, and let's see if we can make some money off of it. Heck, as far as I'm concerned, I think they quit making great films when they quit making them in black and white. Girls Against Boys gets two thumbs up from me...and don't ask where you can stick 'em.
