Inspector Gadget Audience Reviews

Linkshoch Wonderful Movie
Comwayon A Disappointing Continuation
Senteur As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.
BelSports This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Kirpianuscus to adapted a cartoon in film with real actors is always a challenge. and the success is surprising.but this film has not as ambition to be a successful one. in this case the great problem is to discover the purpose of story. an improvisation ? a joke ? a parody ? the only important thing, for me, is the presence of Rupert Everett and Matthew Broderick . the hard try to save a film about nothing or only a collection of clichés and gags in chaotic style. and this is not a real bad thing. but a sort of consolation. because you hopes to be a decent choice for the little children.
trishcuffari I wouldn't have said Matthew was the best role for Inspector Gadget, but after seeing the movie, I had a change of heart. Although it's not really close to the original, it's a funny interpretation of the character. I know it's a Disney movie, but I do wish they didn't make such corny jokes and were a little more serious from time to time. I like the addition of the Gadget mobile being a living car; He turned out to be a funny character! I also love Gadget's origin story and crush on Brenda! They fit the character well. Although Penny and Brain ended up not doing much in the whole movie, which was a little disappointing. But, I did enjoy the fact Gadget was able to save the day on his own rather then receiving their help like he always does in the series. It shows even though he's naive, he's learning! I knew this movie was born to have a sequel, but the sequel was so awful I wish I could unsee it! Never watch the sequel, guys!!
jfarms1956 Inspector Gadget is a movie for those 13 and older and who like the slapstick comedy movies. No one said that it had to be like the cartoon and it really isn't. It is difficult to take a cartoon and make it into a movie. Everybody has different expectations as to the storyline and the character development. It is a story in its own right. It is a good movie for the family to watch together and get a good laugh. Matthew Broderick always reminds me of Ferris Bueller. So, his comedy is similar. It is an entertaining movie and goes well with either popcorn or pizza and a soda. So enjoy the movie for its entertaining value to put a smile on your face and have you forget about your troubles during the flick. Can't really ask for more of a comedy.
Malfoyschickie A lot of people underestimate this movie and judge it because it's not "exactly" like the cartoon version. You need to look at it from a different mind and openenly instead of watching it while comparing it to the cartoon. This movie had a great story line and the writing was perfect. Kids LOVE this movie, because it mixes in humour, with cool gadgets, a bad guy, a damsel and of course the hero that we all know and love. It has a great balance of everything you need for a great family movie.I wish this movie would've gotten greater reviews but I guess for those that don't have an imaginary open mind [ or kids ] can't appreciate everything that this movie brings.I'd give a ten out of ten.
