Smart, crude, and in-your-face, Australian comic/actor/equal-opportunity-offender Jim Jefferies is not for the faint of heart. Whether he is lampooning gun control, auditioning disabled actors, or over-sharing sexual experiences, the FXX "Legit" star proves nothing is out of bounds and even less, off limits. Filmed during the Boston run of his recent stand up tour.

Jim Jefferies: Bare Audience Reviews

Alicia I love this movie so much
ShangLuda Admirable film.
Kidskycom It's funny watching the elements come together in this complicated scam. On one hand, the set-up isn't quite as complex as it seems, but there's an easy sense of fun in every exchange.
Haven Kaycee It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film
Paul Magne Haakonsen "Jim Jefferies: BARE" is a show for that audience that enjoy jokes that are aimed below the belt. No doubt about it, and even the title of the show hints at that too.As much as I like Jim Jefferies and his stand-up comedy routines, then this particular show was just a tad too much focused on things below the belt, to the point where it was becoming too much.Don't get me wrong, because the jokes are still good and his performance is spot on, but it just became too repetitive to hear about essentially the same stuff over and over, with too much focus on sexual matters. This particular stand-up show is definitely one that will not appeal to everyone, because it is full of degrading and sexists jokes. I did manage to sit through this show in its entire length, but I doubt that I will ever return to watch it again.
The Couchpotatoes Well that was one hour well spent! This is definitely the kind of humor I applaud. It's raw and hard, with a lot of sarcasm, and that's the way I like it. This show was filmed in Boston and the best part was when he made jokes about gun control in America. Glad that the Americans present there got the humor of it because he was really making fun of them, or let us say it in his words, at least 50% of the population there. The irony is that we all know that half of the people laughing with those jokes actually have a weapon at home, that makes it even more hilarious. Unlike some other stand-up comedians that have blanks in their shows, where the laughter doesn't come easily, with Jim Jefferies I don't have that. It's laughing from start till the end. Funny guy that Jim!
LouieInLove It's good fun & made me smile & laugh; It is a comedy performance after all. There's not much more to say really. The purpose of a comedy performance is to be funny & this comedy special is funny. What makes me laugh may not make another person laugh. I have a certain gallows sense of humour, I'm not easily offended & I never, ever, get offended on the behalf of others & the comedy in this special appeals to me. Once again, it's not complicated, it's that simple.I could say that Mr Jefferies engages us in this & that & blah! Blah!........ Blah! Blah! Blah!....Blah! Blah! Nevertheless, at the end of the day the lad is funny & this special is entertaining. The end!
djangozelf I really like Jim as a person,he has a lot of common sense and he has a real insight that makes you think:hey I never really looked at it that way.I am also an atheist like Jim and also Ricky Gervais and that makes a large portion of the material difficult to swallow for anyone who believes in some sort of religion.I have seen a few of his shows now and admit that the material gets a little more predictable but it still makes me laugh and that's what it's all about. He's painfully honest about himself and everything around 'm and it reminds me of Richard Pryor who also spewed his life out on the stage and it almost looks like a funny form of self therapy.Just like the late Robin Williams Jim suffers from depression and it amazes me that people who see humor in everything can not use that to get thru every day.I'm a happy S.O.B. and I want that for Jim to so he can make the world a better place thru humor and good all fashioned common sense. Don't 'F'this up,little Australian man.LOL.
