Little Evil Audience Reviews

BlazeLime Strong and Moving!
Noutions Good movie, but best of all time? Hardly . . .
Chirphymium It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional
Bea Swanson This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.
steveo122 Take "The Omen", add a little "Poltergeist", mix with "Shaun of the Dead" sensibilities. Nicely done. An amusing little entertainment. Adam Scott feels like a next generation Richard Benjamin.
Alexander_Blanchett Well I get that it tried to be a self ironic parody of some rather famous horror films in the tradition of The Ecorcist or The Omen however it failed miserably in my eyes. The jokes were just too try-hard, it made every Adam Sandler comedy look like a piece of Shakespeare. Don't get me wrong, some of the dark humor was really funny that is why I give it the score it received BUT that were 10% the other 90% overshadowed the rest left me at the end of the film with a really bad taste. Adam Scott was okay, also one of the better aspects of the film, at least he had some recognizable comedic timing. Evangeline Lilly however was awful. I think its two ways: Either she really took the film she is in seriously OR she has absolutely zero comedic timing whatsoever. I also did not like Owen Atlas who was fla out horrible, sorry kid. I understand Sally Field did it because her son was directing it… but why did not even she try to save this mess? I mean her performance was really not good nor was it funny nor was it in any way an upgrade. Oh and that character AL was funny at first, original yes, self ironic sure, but they really overplayed it and so did the actress. No , the few funny bits that actually worked are not worth the time to stay through this from the beginning to the end.
Peter John Fudpucker About the only thing, I dislike the most in any movie, is a glimpse ahead at the beginning of the movie. It works in very rare cases, but the look into future events at the beginning of this movie holds no relevance. It offers no subtle or vague idea but slaps you in the face that this will occur at some point in the film. With that said, this movie is a satire (e.g. Little Nicky) about the belief in an apocalypse brought on by the son of Satan or the Antichrist. If you are strongly religious and cannot take a joke, you won't enjoy it. Adam Scott plays Gary, a man who marries a woman without getting to know her or her son very well. Owen Atlas does a remarkable job playing Lucas and that is rare to have talent at such a young age. If you were expecting to see more horror than comedy, this is also not for you. This also pokes fun at self help groups and society's need to force other people issues onto you. You are the new dad, so this must be all your fault. If you need a mild comedy-horror-spoof this Halloween then this could be the warm up act for better movies. As for the apocalypse, it was much better than I expected.
cinecam-09597 Gary (Adam Scott) meets hot single mom (Evangeline Lilly) & swiftly marries her but she has baggage in the form of little Stepson Lucas. Born on June 6th, coming up to his 6th birthday & probably the Antichrist! Gary's denial of the situation quickly runs out when horrible accidents start to happen, so with the help of co-worker and scene stealer Al he attempts to thwart Armageddon & shape a happy marriage.A quality cliché comedy from Netflix for a lazy afternoon.
